WR AW: So many things done this weekend!

I promised myself I would buckle down and work on some wedding stuff this weekend, and I sure did. I wanted to share with you guys!!!

Veil:

I have been talking about finishing my veil for WEEKS. I finally finished it and it took me all of five minutes to do. I'm proud of this project since I've seen the same veil sold at bridal salons for $200+ the whole project cost me ~$30. It's so sparkly the pictures don't do it justice:

Ordered a guest book:
I ordered a guest canvas on Etsy. I figured we could hang it up in living room after the wedding THIS is what it will look like.

Ordered invites:

I did this earlier this week thanks to @hummingbird125, but it's off the checklist and the invites look AMAZING. Once we print them out, I'll take a picture to share!

Ordered envelopes:

I ordered envelopes from Cards & Pockets. They're basic white envelopes, the inner envelope will be lined with red paper to contrast the invites.

Bouquet Charm:

I ordered THIS bouquet charm and will have these pictures on it. The pictures are of my paternal grandparents and of Buddy, they're at the bottom of the post because the pics of my grandparents shows up HUGE on here and I don't know how to edit.

Organized centerpieces:

My basement was a hot mess. I finally sat down and organized the centerpieces so that they are ready to go to the venue to be put together. I have a pretty good system going involving gallon-sized freezer bags, quart size bags and sandwich bags. In the sandwich bags I put the rocks that will be in the bottom of the base, in the quart bags I wrapped the votive holders with newspaper and put them in the quart bags, then I put both bags in the gallon-size bag with the flowers that I'll use. Here's a picture:

  • OMG you got sooo much done!! I love your veil, it's beautiful and your center pieces are going to be gorgeous! I really really really love your guest book idea! Ours is stashed away in a box in our storage closet and I wish we had done something similar to yours so we can look at it.
  • @severmilli12 I didn't use the hot-fix Swarovski crystals because I was afraid the heat would melt the fabric. I bought Aleene's fabric glue and wax picks to place the crystals on the veil. The fabric glue worked well because it dried clear and it was stringy like E-6000 or whatever it's called.

  • Thanks so much everyone! It was a lot of work, but I'm glad it's done!!!!

This weekend I'll work on the escort card/guest book/gift table and our decorations for our sweetheart table, I might order more candles for our ceremony too.

Orrrrr I might paint our bedroom, I don't know, I have a three day weekend coming up.

  • Those centerpieces are so cool! So understated and yet obviously fabulous at the same time. . . And way to go on the veil. Being gutsy worked out well for you!
  • @eisleyjogo I was so nervous about the veil, but I think it came out really well. I figured if it turned out horrible, that I didn't waste too much money and I had the money in the budget to get the veil at the bridal salon. It worked out really well! I shocked myself!

@twodimes I got teary-eyed too, don't worry! My FI never saw a picture of my grandparents until yesterday when I had him scan that photo. He was like "wow, you look just like your grandmother". That got me right in the feels since she was my favorite. I wanted to honor them since they couldn't be there, so I got the charm and we're having organ/classical music for the ceremony since my grandfather played the organ in his church. My wedding bouquet is roses which is my grandmother's middle name.
