I didn't have to buy any brooches - my mom and future MIL gave me all of them, from their jewelry boxes and from their mothers and grandmothers.  We used brooches, earrings, and necklaces. We're still going to do some rearranging, and filling in with some more little earrings, and the final wrapping, but this is pretty much it!  It only took my friend and I two nights of work to make it!image
