Mixed Gender Wedding Party - What to wear?

We are having a mixed gender wedding party. I will have two girls and one guy, and the groom has two girls and one guy. I'm having trouble deciding on the colours of what everyone is to wear. I will be wearing a lace ivory wedding gown. My fiance will wear a dark beige Nehru-style jacket. Our wedding theme colours are coral and turquoise.

I am planning for the girls on my side to wear coral dresses (with turquoise accessories). The girls on his side will wear turquoise dresses (with coral accessories). But for the guys to wear colours might be too much of an overkill. So I am thinking of having both guys (on my and his sides) wear plain white shirts with beige trousers. They can be identified in the respective sides by wearing coloured boutonnieres (coral for my side, and turquoise for his).

Do you think this would work?

I think that sounds cute. Our BP was mixed gender sides too, but my bridesman wore his dress blues and his groomswoman couldn't come, so I have little advice on the subject. Sounds good to me though.

Just a note-- if you are requiring coral and turquoise accessories, you should pay for those. Those aren't colors most women would already own shoes or jewelry in.

I like your idea of the boutonnieres.

Also - it'll be pretty obvious whose side they're on since they'll be standing up there next to either you or your FI, so I don't know that you need to distinguish them with colors. If you want them to be bit more formal, they could wear a tie:

Just as a side note, if you require that the girls wear specific jewelry (you mentioned coral and turquoise), you need to pay for it.

Boutonnieres are never worn without a jacket.
I suggest that your bride and groom's men wear the same color as your FI, but a different style.

I think your idea sounds great!

I was in my brother's wedding as a Groomsmaide (as was my sister) - we wore the same dresses the bridesmaids wore, only ours were in black to match all the men in their tuxes. It really looked nice to have the same dress in different colors in the pictures and on each side.
