Weird Dream

I dreamt I was in a trinogamous relationship (where there are three people all dating each other) with FI and another woman.  It was interesting, I don't really know if I could be in a relationship like that, though.  Especially for the long-term, love-y type thing, as I picture myself with one person instead of two, and it would probably be a lot of fun explaining the relationship to people.  I imagine one might get jealous, too, so it would probably be a lot of work making sure everyone felt loved and equal.
Have you been or could you be in a trinogamous relationship?

Re: Weird Dream

  • Nope, and I couldn't picture it working out.

It's funny, I am one of the most socially liberal people you'll ever meet.  Decriminalize polygamy?  Yes.  Should most drugs be legal, at least in small amounts?  Yes.  Will I judge you for tattoos, facial piercings, crazy hair colors?  Never.

But in my own personal choices I'm pretty vanilla.  I think some of it has to be because I've been in the same monogamous relationship since I was 15.  It's working out pretty well for me so far, so I can't really picture wanting anything to be different.

Nope. And I'm pretty sure I'm sticking with my cat-lady thing from here on out. Not dating the cats.. just having cats and not dating.. Why I am so often unintentionally creepy, I don't know.

@Ic07 I'm a cat lady, regardless of relationship status.

I recently posted a Facebook pic with my cat, and my friend and I had a conversation in the comments about it.  Well, said friend then deactivated her Facebook, so now there is a string of ten comments in which I am talking all about my cat.... to myself.
I literally threw my head back and laughed so hard at this. Can you please, please screenshot this and black out for us. This made my day.

Hmm, it won't expand-- attached here.

ETA: I also realized I have inadvertently revealed my most shameful secret.  I do, in fact, have a public Facebook page for my cat.

Mostly because people who want to see cat pictures can "like" my cat page, and I try to post cat pics there instead of my personal page.  Apparently when I do post a cat pic on my personal page, the universe punishes me with this one-sided cat conversation.

I die. Yes, it actually sounds like you could be having a conversation with your cat. You're the best for indulging me.

Aww thanks, you are too sweet!!!  That was an unintentional no-makeup selfie.

Milton is my friend's cat, who apparently (in the comments that I SWEAR, existed) also likes to sit on the top of the couch.  This pudgy little guy is Jack.  I love his silly little crooked face.  And @doeydo he loves attention so I get to pet his belly pudge all the time.  We really have the best cats.

First, sorry @doeydo I have officially threadjacked you. JC! I was wondering about that! You are more of a cat lady than I am because Jack has a Facebook page! And I could totally tell you weren't wearing makeup. And I'm jealous. ;P

Dear Lord, no!  One DH is enough to deal with!

I'm the most vanilla person I know, so yeah, monogamous for me - I don't share well, anyway.  That said, I think my 12 yr old baby sister thinks FI is cute, though, cause she gets all giggly and shy around him - it's kind of adorable.  :)  The 10 yr olds seem to think he's a big kid and constantly want to play with/ climb all over him.    Kids are too funny.

And @JCbride2015 - Jack is adorable!  Both of my cats are slightly pudgy, too.  :)   The FB comments on your pic win the interwebs, I think!

Nope and nope.  I'd get too jealous cos I don't share well.  I watch Sister Wives and just think how upset I'd be if DH was spending his night with wife number whatever and not me.  I couldn't handle that.  I don't know how they do it, especially when they talk about how lonely they get sometimes when they don't have enough DH time alone.  I'd be constantly pissed it wasn't my night and he was with someone else

  • I find polygamous relationships to be fascinating, and I was obsessed with Big Love.  Could I do that lifestyle?  I dunno - I guess you could be BFFs with one of the other wives but I don't know about the jealousy thing.
