Save the Dates and Plus Ones

I'm inviting my office to my wedding. A senior person I'm inviting is recently divorced and I'd like to give him the option of bringing a date to the wedding. Do I need to indicate that he'll receive a plus one on the save the date or do I just address the save the date just to him?

    No, save-the-dates don't have to include plus ones, and they can be addressed just to the person you are inviting.

    When you send out invitations, though, assuming this person is still single, that would be the time to give him a plus one.  Of course, if he is in a relationship by then, you will need to invite his SO as well.
