So you ever have a day where you feel like the stars just align and the universe is perfect? And nothing in all existence could possibly topple you from that glorious height ever? That was yesterday.
Yesterday morning we found out we're probably getting money back on the security deposit at FI's old apartment. I got my second-to-last-ever research run done on my system. Very late in the afternoon I found out I got a new job!! I'll be a GSA with the engineering school working primarily on reviewing writing for the professors. This is a part-time benefitted temp position with an eye to becoming full-time permanent benefitted in about a year (when I finish the Ph.D.). So I also got a timeframe for being done with the Ph.D. and becoming Dr. Stitches. And I found out our towels are not being discontinued from the registry, just the specific blue, so a whole lot of "whatever" there. And a whole bunch of little things went right all day long.
I start my new job August 18, and I'll be dropping off the radar during the day here - I want them to like me, and I want to break myself of the habit of wasting a ton of time online. I'll be around evenings and weekends, though!
