Invitation wording

When doing the "Together with our parents" wording.... is it still -

Together with our parents

My first My middle

and

FI first FI middle FI last

Invite you to share in the celebration of our union... blah blah....

Is this right???  Or is it different since my parent's aren't hosting?  Help! :)

Meh. I'm so bad at this. We just didn't do any sort of formal wording so we didn't have to deal with it. Checked with the parents first and of course they didn't care.

That sounds fine if you like it.

If not, you could do something more like my friend did:

You're invited to the marriage of

    FIRST NAME
    and
    FIRST NAME

If it's designed super pretty no one will care :D

I have a couple different links in my bio to invite wording places and some examples in there as well if you want to check those out :)

I'm not sure how big it is, but my invites are in my bio.

    I did:

    Together with their parents

my first my middle my last
    and
FI first FI middle FI last

    blah blah blah..

We didn't include our parents names on the invites since we're the ones paying and planning everything. This is what ours says:

Side by side we'll be partners in life,
    under palm trees swaying,
    we'll become husband and wife.

    Jennifer Ann P
    and
    Jonathan Baldwin S
will become united as one on Thursday, September 8, 2011
    in Montego Bay, Jamaica

Please join us in a celebration of our marriage upon our return
    On Sunday, October 9, 2011
5:00 pm at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets

<div>Make sure you include BOTH last names if you do together with parents.  Otherwise people could be like "who"?!?!!?  </div>

    We'll have:

    Together with their parents
my first name, middle inital, last name
    &
FI's first name, middle inital, last name

Our parents aren't helping in any way (aside from moral support) that we personally know of, which is why their names aren't on there, but we will have three piles of return address labels for on the invite envelope. A set for his parents to send to his family and their friends, a set for my mom to send to her family and friends and a set for us to send out to our friends and on behalf of my dad. RSVP's will be sent to my apartment.

Edit: for my MOH's wedding, her wording was such:
    Mr. and Mrs John D
request the honnor of your presence at the marriage of her daughter
    Crystal L. D
    to
Adam (I forget his middle name) S.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. S.
and then the date and time and location followed.

Mine were probably bad etiquette because my dad paid for a big chunk of the wedding and FI's parents contributed as well, and we didn't mention them at all. We did:

    Heather Middle Last Name
    &
    Nicholas Middle Last Name

Invite you to join them in paradise
as they begin their new life together
    as husband and wife

<div>We also did this. The last name of the bride is traditionally left off because when the brides parents host their last name is already on the invite but when you do "together with their parents" you should use the brides last name. And usually its with "their" parents instead of our:)</div>
