Deciding Location

I am from California and my fiance is from Idaho.  We both currently reside in Idaho.  If I end up planning for a wedding in Idaho, a majority of my family and friends probably wouldn't attend (it will be winter: cold, snowy and airfare is expensive).  If I plan in California, I know it will be more expensive for pretty much everything.

What would you do?

    A wedding is not a court summons.  Plan the wedding you want, and accept that some people will not attend, no matter what you do.

    I would do it in Idaho. That's where you live, so it'll be easier to plan. You might be surprised by who makes it!
