Outdoor wedding in September?

Hi all, we are planning a Sept 15 wedding in LV - planning from the UK, would it be too hot ito have it outside in September? We are currently thinking Caesars Palace garden or chapel of Flowers for ceremony then reception on a restaurant terrace or possibly terrace of a suite...

Re: Outdoor wedding in September?

  • I would personally say yes as it is still in the mid-90's during the day. If you do closer to the evening, the sun will be going down so it may not be as bad.

  • I actually disagree with @hmgiffor‌ the coolest party of the day will be in the morning before 11. The evening will still be hot, in the 90s well after sun set. Way to hot for an outdoor ceremony in my opinion.
  • Hmmm thanks guys, I better get looking at some indoor venues then... I don't want to be melting in my dress and guests passing out all around us!!
  • We have been planning for Sept 25th outdoors at the Flamingo. I have also been concerned about the heat, and debating if I should move date into Oct. ugh... My poor vendors
  • Hi Zoe I got married at Caesars Juno gardens in July, it was a heatwave last year so even hotter than normal. I'd do it all over again. I'd say go for it, getting married outside is not something I feel I could ever have done here in the UK. I had my heart set on it plus I preferred the outdoor venues. In my opinion Sept would be ideal. The ceremony is short them we took pictures for an hour - a mixture of inside and out and I felt fine no running makeup, sweaty hair etc. I find the heat so dry in vegas compared to Europe etc that I can wear my usual makeup etc and it stays perfect.
