Oriental trading wedding magazine

Hi!
I got their magazine in the mail the other day. I was looking to order the confetti for the tables. Is one 2 oz. Bag usually enough for just 1 table? We'll be having 8 tables.

Re: Oriental trading wedding magazine

  • Does your venue allow confetti?  Some don't (ours didn't) because that stuff is a PITA to get rid of short of finding a black hole.

If you can use confetti, I think one bag per table sounds good but you may want to try to find a similarly sized bag locally and do a test run.  I would think that the size of the table and where you want to put the confetti would mean you might need less than a full bag per table.

  • @jenmickey79 I agree with what @JaxInBlue said.   Check with your venue first about the confetti, it's a pain to remove and then when it falls on the floor (as it inevitably will) it's even harder to vacuum up.

That being said, if you're set on confetti.  For a 2 oz bag I  think you'd be set per table, maybe even for two tables depending on the size of your tables.

As another option have you thought of using their fake rose petals?  We used them for our tables and they came out really well.  Just a thought.
  • Hi
It's at a Stonehouse outside at a park. We'll have 8 10 ft long tables. I'm not dead set on confetti but I want something else besides our centerpiece to decorate the tables
  • Confetti is something that I would expect to see at a birthday party or graduation party, not a wedding. I like the idea of flower petals like LakeR2014 said. Since you are doing this outside if you get something that is real, they are biodegradable and you won't have to worry about clean up. If roses are too expensive, look into what will be in "season" and use those. They will look much prettier than confetti also.

Don't use confetti if it's outside.  If it gets on the ground you could be required to pick up every single piece.

  • I second using real flower petals, roses or not! Little tiny petals might mimic confetti, if it's a look you want. Definitely don't use real confetti outside though.
