Can I use our nicknames on our save the dates?

My real name is Abigail, but everyone calls me Abby. My fiancé is Michael, and everyone calls him Mike. Would it be appropriate to say "Abby and Mike are tying the knot" on our save the date magnet? I intend use our full names for the formal invitations. More so for me than my fiancé, but no one ever refers to me as Abigail. Save the dates seem more informal, so I am wondering if this is acceptable?

    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I don't see why you couldn't since that's what everyone calls you and it's a shortened version of your given names. I used Rick instead of Richard on both the std and invitations. But I didn't use my nickname because it's not a "normal" shortened version of my actual name. Thanks mom, for giving me a long name with no shorter option.

    Yes.  STDs are informal.  You should use your full names on your actual invitation, though.

    I feel like that's pretty standard. Many of my friends go by some shortened version of their name and I think  all of them used their nick names on the STDs and full names on the invites.

    I know someone who used their nicknames in their vows. That's what they went by 100% of the time. Using their legal names wouldn't have made sense. I'm not sure what they used on the invites. I don't think I saw the invite, I was a teenager.

    You're cool. Sarah is my middle name, so that was on our STDs. Invites had my first name.
