Who's wearing a watch at your wedding?

I tried doing a search but came up with a ton of irrelevant results. FI thinks I'm crazy for wanting to wear one but I'm thinking more of a bracelet style accessory, and have found a handful of them under $25 that would match my dress, ring, and earrings (wasn't planning on wearing a bracelet or necklace). I wouldn't wear it during our ceremony or for pictures but I would like to keep up with the time at the reception without having to ask everyone (FI doesn't wear one and we don't plan on carrying our phones that evening). Are any of you ladies thinking about wearing a watch, or did any of you at your wedding? Am I crazy for thinking about this?

Re: Who's wearing a watch at your wedding?

  • To be honest, I haven't really thought about this yet. I haven't seen any of the brides at any of the weddings I've been to wear one, but I can certainly see how a bracelet style watch could look lovely. I think I'll end up trying to convince FI to wear one, even if it's a pocket watch.

  • I don't ever wear a watch, so I def didn't wear one at the wedding.  My phone was in my purse somewhere, but to be honest so much is happening and the night goes so fast that I never even thought to look at the time.  The DJ and maître d kept things going on the correct timeline so there was no need for me to look at a clock
  • I never wear watches or bracelets.  I never knew what time it was during my wedding and I can't imagine caring about it.  I had my DOC to make sure things were running on time and H and I were where we needed to be.
  • I think DH wore one. No one in the bridal party (i.e., myself or the bridesmaids) wore a watch.

  • I don't plan on wearing one. But FI will be wearing his pocket watch.
