Monday Questions

In the spirit of getting to know people better, here are some random questions! This has nothing to do with my complete lack of motivation for anything work-related today, I swear.

1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

3. Who is your biggest role model?

4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

    1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Adventurous (Does that count?) I got bit with the travel bug once I visited Germany in 2006. Since 2006, I have traveled to England, Ireland, France, and Mexico.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

My favorite dinner place is about an hour from my house, but it is only five minutes away from where my BF lives. It has AMAZING ribs and mozzarella sticks. My BF and I cannot afford to eat there often, but we drive there to order the mozzarella sticks, and go back to his apartment and eat them for an app. Haha.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

My biggest role model is my dad. He is incredibly smart, slow to anger, and cares so much for people.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have two older sisters and one younger brother. My oldest sister is married and has one son and one daughter. My parents can't wait for more grand babies, but they are going to have to wait another six or seven years!

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

If I could travel back in time, I would want to see what it was like when my parents and grandparents were young.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a nurse or a teacher. I am going to be a teacher!

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I would love to tell you the best story from when I was drunk...but I don't remember. haha. Also, it probably isn't appropriate to share.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) Right now, FEROCIOUS, 'cause I'm in a crappy  mood.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it! Just this Mexican place near us. Super yummy good, nice décor, good prices, and occasionally they have a mariachi band come out. Just a great atmosphere.

    3. Who is your biggest role model? My mom's best friend is someone I really admire. She was a single mom from the time I was about six years old or so. No college education and three little kids to take care of, and she has worked her ass off and created a successful business and has never NEEDED to rely on other people to take care of her. And she has such a great attitude about everything. I just think she's amazing.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews? Two younger brothers, and I'd better not have any nieces or nephews out roaming around yet!

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to? I am a Revolutionary War nerd, so I would love to see some of the moments from that, just 'cause.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? A pediatrician, and I wanted to serve a couple terms as president too. And also an actress.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs? I have no such stories; I'm kind of fiercely against having anything that alters my state of mind in my body. Like I BARELY drink - maybe one or two a MONTH. I know, I'm boring.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) I'm sleep-deprived and don't have the brain power for this question today.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it! Hmm...it's hard for me to pick a favorite! In my hometown there's a restaurant called The Snakebite and they have the best burgers and waffle fries!

    3. Who is your biggest role model? One of my professors from my undergrad. is amazing. She was my mentor and I took every class she taught.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews? I have one younger brother. No nieces and nephews.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? I went through a lot of different things, I wanted to be a marine biologist for awhile then I wanted to be teacher, then a nurse

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs? I don't really drink that much (I've only been drunk 3 times and honestly don't have a good story from it) and I don't do drugs, I rarely even take tylenol.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    Duuuude.  It's Monday.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

I have many.  One of my absolute favorites in Chicago is called Spacca Napoli.  It is hands down the best pizza I've had outside of Italy.  It's very authentic and NOM.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

I don't know if I really have one.  Definitely not any family member.  There are people I look up to, including some of my IRL friends in Boston, former professors, @cu97tiger, @suzie211, @minskat30, and @LivLeighton.  All for varying reasons.  But I by no means have an "idol".

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have one brother.  I do not have nieces or nephews.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

Maybe summer of 2007.  I was living in NY, super close to BFF, and we had an amazing summer.  Later that summer, I met DH.  It was a very happy time for me.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

    A lawyer.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I don't do drugs.  I have a few hilarious drunk stories...none of them are very becoming.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) -- I cannot think of one, I'm shy/introverted.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!  I like this place called Rockne's - it's our go to place (somewhat local/small chain).  It's really just a sports bar.  One of the sandwiches made it's way to Biggest Loser as a 'Don't eat this, it's super bad for you'.  Normally I get soup or a salad.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?  I'm not sure, maybe my parents.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?  1 brother, no nieces/nephews

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?  I'm not sure I would want to.  I'd love to know more about my grandparents and my family tree though.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?  I went between veterinarian and psychologist/psychiatrist/social worker -- my vet dreams were dead when I found out putting animals to sleep was part of the job.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?  When I had my wisdom teeth out - I went out to get the mail.  I grew up in the country so the mail box is out by the road... I managed to get safely across the street then I looked around and found the mailbox was about 10 feet to my left... so then I made my way to the mailbox, grabbed the mail and started walking back to the house.  I came within 2 inches of walking into a tree!  If you couldn't tell - the meds messed with my vision and depth perception.

    1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Conscientious (sometimes. I'm working on it)  Pretentious (sometimes. I'm working on it)

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

Fishbones and DaVincis. They are both located in Maine, in the town where I went to college. Fishbones is AMAZING. I had the best miso salmon dish pared with a glass of Riesling EVER there. Pretty much everything they make is wonderful. I guess it's an American restaurant that will occasional fuse with French/ other countries cooking techniques? They offer wonderful fish, but also poultry and meat, and pastas, and flatbreads, and desserts. Basically, I miss it desperately. DaVinci's is an Italian restaurant and I am obsessed with their chicken saltimbocca and veal parm.  I lived in Washington, DC, and have lived near NYC for most of my life, and none of those restaurants have come close.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

HILLARY. Also, my mom, and my fiance, and my dad. My mom works so hard, and has a high powered career. And she bakes constantly like a 50's housewife. And was a wonderful mom, so despite her working 60-80 hour weeks for most of my childhood, I am very close to her and never felt like she was absent. My fiance works incredibly hard and is so kind. Much kinder than I am, and he has made me much less of a snob. My dad is a true intellectual.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have one younger brother, and no nieces or nephews yet.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

1800's England. But only for a few days. And only as a guest at an aristocratic house party or dinner or something. That's my favorite thing to do on vacation-- go to the awesome mansions and gardens of the fabulously wealthy.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

first, in elementary school, a teacher. Then in middle through early highschool, a neurologist. Then in late high school through pretty much all of college a lawyer-- intellectual property/ art law. And now I am actually an artist, and I've come full circle and I want to be a Studio Art professor (tenured!) at a prestigious little liberal arts college like the one that I went to. But I'll take being a full time art teacher anywhere, private school, college, whatever.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I streaked down a very tiny mountain (it was behind our dorm) with my friends in college. I was drunk. That's the most wild I've ever been. I rarely drink. I'm a complete lightweight.

  • How about a word that ends in -ous instead? Is that any easier?

    ---------------------------------------------------

    1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    Vivacious!

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

Probably Gustav's. German food and German beer! Love it.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

I'm gonna go with Gandhi. He's the leader I respect the most, even if I'm not necessarily having to stand up against oppressors with guns or anything.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

1 full sister, 2 half sisters, 3 half brothers. Thanks to the new twin girls, I am up to 15 nieces/nephews

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

The 70's. I wanna roller disco so bad, and have it be cool. Plus, I used to LOVE bell bottoms.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A pediatrician for a while. Then I wanted to be the Jane Goodall of pandas. I was gonna move to China and just live with them. That was my dream. . . Then I realized I was good at math, so I followed that instead.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I got drunk on peppermint schnapps when I was in 8th grade. In trying to help my wasted friend get up to puke in the bathroom I fell onto her dresser. While we were in the bathroom she asked me to call her boyfriend to come over and help, and convinced me his number was written on a piece of paper in her parents' office. Never found it. Then after she puked, and I tried to get her back to bed, we fell backwards into the bathtub. We both ended up passing out soon after, and when I woke up she was cleaning the bathroom and freaking out for me to help. Apparently when I fell on the dresser I cut my arm BAD, and got blood on the walls in the hallway, on her parents desk/computer, and all over the bathroom and bathtub. Her parents never figured it out, amazingly, and I didn't drink again for another 4 years.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    ....Type A-tious?

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

I love this restaurant they have here in ATL called SIP, it's a Tapas bar with wine pairings. SOOOO GOOD!!!!

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

I would say my parents definitely.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have two sisters, a BIL, and a Step-SIL. I have one more BIL and two more SIL coming soon! No nieces and nephews yet.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

    I love the 90s.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be either an olympic gymnast, a mommy, and a doctor lol

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I don't know if there are any really good stories about me being drunk. Maybe my senior year of high school we were in Cancun and I met this guy who looked like John Mayer (he was from Canada) and I was convinced he was going to fly home with me and be my boyfriend...Yea nope.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)
    Conscientious

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!
Acacia - slightly upscale, but with really good 'down-home' food with a twist. Great jagerschnitzel, grilled cheese w/ tomato soup, mac'n'cheese

    3. Who is your biggest role model?
I have several. Mostly smart businesswomen who I have worked with. I try to emulate the parts of their personality and style that aren't necessarily 'natural' for me.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?
    I have a younger sister. She has a daughter (6) and a son (3).

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?
I wouldn't. Anything before 1970 means that racism would still be at an all-time high, and anything after would mean terrible clothing. I guess I could go back to 2009 and live in Scottsdale again :)

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    A ballerina

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?
A lady never kisses and tells.

. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Ambitious I guess.... I usually work hard to meet goals I have set.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

I love PF Chang's and the local italian pizzeria is really good, they make a great tomato pie and everything else they make is really good.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

    Not sure

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

2 sibling a brother and a sister, 1 1/2 nieces niece #2 makes her debut in January and I can't wait!

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

This is tough I wouldn't mind checking out life as a teenager in the 1950's

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a principal dancer for the NYC ballet

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I went with my friend and some of her friends to a bar, my friend left with some guy and I was pretty drunk myself and I was trying to find some of my friend's friends who were still there. I kept looking for them and circling the bar area.  Eventually I waited for quite awhile at the entrance to the bar muttering "I am waiting for you Vizzini you told me to go back to the beginning." I wound up chatting with some guy who found my drunk princess bride quoting pretty amusing.  Eventually I found my friend's friends and I dated the guy I met at the bar for a few weeks.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    Ambitious

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

I'm still looking for one in our new town but I love the salads at Public Market...unlimited veggie toppings.  YUM :)

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

Like @loves2shop4shoes ... family members are hard.  My grandmother raised me and she was strong as an Ox mentally and physically but I didn't get that much affection or attention growing up at all.  That said, she went through WWII hiding her Jewish friends, the Great Depression, etc. raised two boys on her own after my grandfather committed suicide and raised both my sister and me.  She taught me a lot.  I think I would count her as a role model, a friend I have from law school and a few ladies here (right back at you @loves2shop4shoes)

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

One sister.  One nephew (14), and one niece (9).

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

I'd love to meet my grandmother when she was younger.  She seemed like such a kick-butt person but when she was raising us she just was tired.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An actress or an opera singer.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I don't really have one...I've never done any drugs.  Drinking, I tend to be pretty happy but also want to go home when I get too over the top.  Boring, I know.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    Today i'm feeling rather vivacious!

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

We have a local place here called Ramano's. It's a family-owned italian restaurant that has been around forever. I've been going here with my family since I was a kiddo and it was H and my first "real" date after our initial blind date.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

My mother - for all the reasons!

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

1 Brother, 1 niece (only 2 months old)

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

I have no idea...so many choices! I've never really seen myself in a different era. Perhaps the 1950s?

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A singer or a lawyer. I had two nuns for neighbors that told my mom I was either going to be an actress or an attorney. Ended up close to the lawyer side of things, but without a law degree.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

Never been on drugs. I know I have a ton of great drunk stories...but they're escaping me at the moment. I'm getting old...

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Ravenous (even though I just ate lunch). I didn't follow your directions exactly but what can I say, I can also be rebellious.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

The local steakhouse here is fantastic. I always get filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes for my entree and creme brulee for dessert. For appetizer, I switch off between the beet salad, baked clams, crab cakes, and crab cocktail <3

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

My mom. She didn't graduate from high school or go to college and she had me when she was just 20, but she worked her ass off and made an amazing life for me. A few years ago, she was laid off and took sometime to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She decided to go back to school and now she's a nurse. She's just amazing.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I'm my mom's only which is what I usually say. Technically, however, I have a half brother and a half sister from my dad, a step-sister from my dad's current marriage, 2 step-sisters and a step-brother from my mom's second marriage, and a step-brother and step-sister from my mom's current marriage. I also now have a brother-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law through my H. From that barrel of siblings...... I have 2 nieces and 5 nephews. Just to throw you through another loop: my step-brother from my mom's second marriage married my step-sister from my mom's current marriage. If you followed all of that, you get a virtual cookie.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

The whole time I was reading 11/22/63, I kept thinking I would love to be able to go back to that time period and check things out for myself. If for no other reason than to have that root beer.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A nun. A shoe model. A teacher. An actress. I am none of those things although I still think I'd make a killer shoe model.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

Me? Have a drunk story? LOL.

Kidding. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) Boobalicious!

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it! We have this wine bar and tapas place called SIP that I absolutely love! I don't get to go there very often but they are always switching up their menu and I've never had anything there I didn't enjoy.

    3. Who is your biggest role model? Definitely my parents. My mom because she is a strong and beautiful woman. She is tough and opinionated but she always has the wisest advice and she's a great listener. My dad because he is a leader, he takes your questions seriously and always gives a thoughtful response, and because he is always generous and willing to help however he can.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews? 2 younger sisters. One niece and one nephew by marriage (almost!!!). Also, an adorable fur-nephew named Maddux!

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to? Ugghhh this question is too hard. Maybe the 1940s so I could see a major turning point in our country's history? That'd be kind of cool.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian or a teacher. Sometimes a paleontologist. What kid didn't want to study dinosaur bones in the 90s?

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs? Don't really have any good ones. It's Monday and I can't delve that deep right now.

  • You gals are always open about EVERYTING. This is TMI central. . . Then when I ask for a drunk story you're like "I don't want to say" *blush*

    Not cool NEY. Not. Cool.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) Boobalicious!

    YOU COPIED MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!
  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!) Ambitious

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it! A mexican place called Patron. I love Mexican food, and theirs is pretty close to real mexican food as opposed to Tex-Mex or American-Mex (which I'm also a fan of).

    3. Who is your biggest role model? Hmmm...my parents collectively. They both went back to college to get teaching degrees when they had two small children. They also had a third while they were in school. I also watched them teach and deal with all the stuff that comes with that. They taught me you can do anything if you really want to (among other things).

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews? I have two sisters, one older, one younger. I have a nephew who is the product of my older sister.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to? Ehh...I don't have much desire to go back in time.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a fighter pilot. After I found out my eyesight wouldn't let me do that, I wanted to be an attorney. After I got accepted to an engineering school, I wanted to be a rocket scientist (because...rocket scientist...hello...). I'm now a patent attorney after being an electrical engineer for many years.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs? I don't have any good stories, because I don't drink enough to get drunk.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

    I am so stumped...

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

We had a really great Mexican food place up in the town I went to college. Super tasty, locally owned, and some awesome chicken!

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

My mom. She is such a hard worker and has definitely inspired me to work hard for what I want.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have one younger brother and one older stepbrother. My stepbrother is married and they have a one year old daughter and another baby on the way.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

This is definitely a hard question. Probably to the Victorian/Edwardian eras.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An olympic figure skater. But I had never been ice skating at that point.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I don't really have one that I can easily recall. Though I did get really drunk after one of my sorority formals and we were walking from the bar to my house and I swear that 5-10 minute walk felt like 2 hours. That night felt ridiculously long.

Well, since several NEYers know this story, I can tell it. During a DC NEYG2G, I proceeded to drink all. the. wine. I then danced down the street yelling at passers-by 'Where is a cool place to go? I want to DANCE!!!.' This was roughly one year ago. Being in your late-30s is SO COOL.

The first time I drank with my BF's SIL, she was walking next to me down the street with her arm around my shoulder yelling "This is my girlfriend! No one can touch her!" ............ She doesn't remember it, and the guys were behind us ignoring us.

Ever since then, I totally enjoy engaging drunk females walking down the street yelling things. Well, if it's in the right spirit, anyways.

a Vet! lol...I love animals still but I gave up after I heard about the length and cost of school!

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

Went out on a Tuesday night with my girlfriend. We had both just been left by our FIs and decided it was a a great night to go out and have wine...3 glasses later we headed to a bar.  She knew the bartenders so we got a free drink then she bought a bottle of champagne. I was so wasted I started eating all the strawberry's. Then some hot foreign guy started dancing with me and before I even knew his name we were making out. I'm pretty sure this was short lived because I definitely remember puking in the bathroom then going home and puking more BUT I MIRACULOUSLY made it to work the next morning.

  • @joy14bw - First off, how the truck did you make it to work? That's what sick days are FOR! I'm quite impressed.

Also, steak in sushi sounds awesome. Two of my favorite things combined? I need it.

Also also, I haven't told you this yet, but your picture thing suuuuuuuuuuuper creeps me out, haha. Just shows you what a legit pair of eyebrows can do.

  • 1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Ambitious and a little anxious at times.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

This is such a hard one for me to answer! I will have to go with a Peruvian/Bolivian place in Providence called Los Andes. Excellent steak and seafood. My favorite is the lobster paella and the ceviche trio. And I have at least 2 pisco sours each time I go. So delicious.

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

Probably my grandmother. She passed away in 2007 and I miss her everyday. She taught almost all of her grandchildren how to drive a stick- she wouldn't have us only learning automatic lol

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I have younger twin brothers. No nieces or nephews for awhile I hope.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

I would like to either travel to the 20s or the 60s. I used to be obsessed with learning about those eras when I was a teenager.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid I told my parents that I wanted to own a bodega. Ya know, just kick it on the street corner selling bread, milk and lottery tickets! It looked like an easy job, and the guy that worked at ours was really nice- so I figured why not? Once I got to high school I realized that maybe I should look into careers, and then decided teaching would be a great opportunity for me. Life choices.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

When I was in college I had a story every other day. I'll tell you the one that people like the most. I went out with 3 other girlfriends to pregame at a boys' apartment in Providence. We had a great time and then went out to the neighborhood bar. When we returned back to the apartment, it was just me and one of the girls. The two other girls decided to stay at the bar.

Anyways, we are back at the apartment and my friend starts making out with one of the guys. I sneak outside for a cigarette (I know so bad now) and then I hear the door knob move behind me....someone locked the door!!! I banged on the door but no one was letting me in. I was so pissed because I left my keys inside and my car was parked in their driveway. I was a shitty friend and didn't really care about what my friend's plans were- I just wanted to go home at that point. I waited an hour outside before I gave in and crawled underneath my car and used my clutch as a pillow and went to bed. Sad story.

The next morning, I woke up laughing at myself underneath my car. I realized that I could have called a cab or inside to someone----since I had my phone the entire time!!! One gem of a story, I know lol

I'm not really sure either...I think I threw it all up and was semi sober by 7am.  BTW, I somehow got the guys # and went out with him that next week. He was definitely hot but dumb as rocks!

Yeah, I laugh every time I look at it so I figured I'd share the awkward awesomeness.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it! I grew up in a small town at the top of Wisconsin at the tip of Lake Superior and there is a bar there called the anchor bar, it was on diners drive ins and dives, and they have the most amazing burgers of all time.

    3. Who is your biggest role model? It's really sad, but I can't 100% say I have one.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews? I have two brothers, no nieces or nephews yet.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to? the 20's probably or the 50's.  I'd love to be a housewife :)

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? a teacher, I'm now in school to be a teacher.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs? man, this is tricky.  I use to be such a spastic drunk.  When I was younger I had a party trick that I would drink enough to fall straight to the ground like i was belly flopping.  People loved that.. How I didn't break my neck I have no idea.

    1. Describe yourself in a word that ends in the "shuss" sound, such as -cious or -tious. (Not in question form, but do it anyway!)

Ambitious and Adventurous. I set goals and follow through on them. Which is why I am one of the very few 23 year olds who works at a Fortune 500 company, can live in a high rise downtown in an expensive city (and NOT in my parent's basement/house), pay all of my student loan bills, and still have a nice car and money to travel (Sorry for the AW but it's all true and perfectly illustrates my point). I love traveling and trying anything new, whether it be a new sport or food.

    2. What's your favorite dinner restaurant? If it's locally owned, tell us about it!

Karl Strauss Brewery. It's a local chain in the San Diego area. They make my favorite beer, which is a Red Irish Ale, and they also make BF's favorite IPA. And they cook with their beer in at least half of the menu items (Beer fondue with garlic bread, Burger with IPA steak sauce and pale ale grilled onions, beer floats and beeramisu (tiramisu made with beer!). It's glorious. And also terrible for my diet. AND I JUST TALKED TO BF AND WE ARE GOING THERE TONIGHT TO INTRODUCE OUR FRIENDS VISITING FROM NY TO IT!!!!!

    3. Who is your biggest role model?

This is a really difficult question for me. I admire Buzz Aldrin and Irwin Jacobs equally for promoting STEM fields and making huge contributions to those fields, and I admire Justice Ginsburg for standing up for women's rights in the Supreme Court. All have made great contributions to our society, and I hope I get the chance to do something similar.

    4. How many siblings do you have? Nieces and nephews?

I am an only child, and have no nieces and nephews as a result.

    5. If you could travel back in time, what time would you go to?

Oh another tough one. I would probably go back to the 1800's, because I love history from that time period for a reason that makes zero sense to me.

    6. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a train engineer, and then an astronaut. Neither of those ended up happening, but I am still fascinated by trains and anything man-made that flies.

    7. What's you best story from a time when you were drunk or on drugs?

I don't really have any good drunk stories that come to mind (although I like alcohol plenty and drank a lot on the weekends during college). I just am not really a crazy drunk nor do I black out easily. I just like to have fun and dance :)

ETA: Actually, I do have a recent drunk story. BF and I just went to a wedding in July that one of my ex-boyfriends also went to. Ex tried to keep up with current BF, who can hold his liquor, in what I think was an attempt to prove he was more manly then my BF. Ex apparently can't hold his liquor. Ex ended up making an absolute fool of himself, grinding on every female on the dance floor (which I stayed away from unless with BF), and tripping over tables. His date stormed out on him.
