Wedding Nightmares

I had my first "wedding nightmare" last night. With 52 days to go, I dreamed we didn't have our venue booked, despite having many other vendors booked. Our only options were my parents backyard or a hotel banquet room with no windows and ugly carpet.

I realize backyards and hotels are perfectly fine venues, but it just doesn't fit my vision perfectly, and I was freaking out in the dream, lol.

Did any of you experience "wedding nightmares" shortly before your big day?

    I did until I made a new policy of not talking or thinking about the wedding while in bed. They stopped.
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    I have been having nightmares off and on for a couple of months now.

    Last night I dreamed that my cake was frozen solid and I had to hack at it with an ice pick in order to do our cake cutting.

    I was having those for a while, but last night it switched to a super fun game of "find the house fire". So apparently I'm more stressed about new house than wedding right now.

    I have stressful wedding nightmares at least once every 3 weeks. I think it's normal because you think about it all the time and it stays in your subconscious. The one I remember the most is me approaching fiance at the altar and turning back around because I didn't wanna get married anymore!

    I'm so glad you posted this! Mine already started! Just like a month ago, someone posted about this topic and I was like I;m sure I have a while to go before mine start. Nope! I just had one this past Sunday night. So far I've dreamed that: We forgot to decorate our venue and had to go to the 99 cent store and grab Christmas decorations for our spring wedding;I was over 2 hours late to my own wedding; MOH showed up 15 minutes before start time, and we never got to rehearse; My dress was this long black poufy hideous thing; My guests were seated outside, and a sudden storm caused them to get soaking wet before the ceremony started; we forgot to pay for linens and had dirty tables; I did my own makeup and it was horrible.

    And most of these don't even apply to our wedding! It's gonna be a long 9 months lol

    @pinkcow13 oh my gosh, that's awful! I just hope I don't have too many more before the wedding!

    I dreamt last night that I couldnt find my underwear to wear under my dress, and that I realized the day of the ceremony that I forgot to book a photographer.

    There's a really cool dream theory I studied as an undergrad (psych was one of my majors) that when we have nightmares about stuff like this, it's because your subconscious is trying to work through potential problems and provide you with different solutions so that you can be prepared in real life. It's usually stuff you're worrying about in the back of your mind, so then your nightmare is like "well here's how you could possibly deal with this" 

    I've had like 5 or 6 wedding nightmares already. Forgot to order food, forgot to plan the entire wedding and now the wedding day is here and I have nothing, forgot to buy a dress, forgot to invite people, etc etc. Even my FI said he had a wedding nightmare last week, which I thought was hilarious and adorable!

    I just had one last night. I dreamed I didn't book the photographer, our invites never went out so the venue just grabbed randos off the street who thought the reception was some kind of open mic night, and I blacked out during the ceremony and had absolutely no recollection of it at all.
