Sale at LOFT

Since everyone keeps talking about LOFT and I know @jcbride2015 is looking for work clothes, they are having their 40% off sale with code SHAREIT.

Just bought 3 dresses and a skirt that I probably don't need!

Any tall girls have good luck there? I'm 5'9" with a really long torso (but relatively short legs) and I feel like everything there is too short.

  • Sara is that code good in the store? !
  • @lolo883 I'm 5'7'' and none of their pants are long enough. I usually like their dresses and capri pants, though. I also have a long torso and I haven't had many problems with tops. I just bought a jacket there and it fits great.

I am thinking about shopping there today. I have a shower this weekend, and I can't decide what to wear...so maybe a new outfit :)
  • While we're making sale PSAs, I hit a great sale at The Limited yesterday-- 40% off everything full price.  And when you check out, they give a coupon book that's good through September.  Read: good on the Scandal collection that comes out soon!

Victoria Secret also has their cheeky panties for $3 a pair. I'm tempted to go get some later today.
  • @lolo883 I'm not tall (5'5") but have a very long torso and their tops are actually really good for that. I also like that I can wear a small or medium there rather than a large or extra large at other places. I know, totally vain, oh well.

  • Oooh, thank you! They have a nice maternity section.
  • I feel like I'm about to spend my entire paycheck

Lord almighty, I'm wearing a pair now since it's laundry day and they're among the least comfortable undies I own. FI loves them, of course. Sigh.

  • I'm contemplating this for work, with a red or gray jacket over it.  Is the jumpsuit thing weird?  At our recent recruiting event, one of our HR ladies was wearing a black jumpsuit with a black blazer, but she tends to be a little step down from the attorneys.  I just really like the thought of this black/white jumpsuit being a brainless thing to put on in the morning with a jacket.

Cool thanks! I'll have to give them another try. Although when 5 packages showed up for me yesterday FI threatened to sign me up for a shopping addict support group.

Yes - it is good for in the store and you don't need a code! I went during my lunch break today :)

  • @JCbride2015 I think that looks like a nice jumpsuit. Not my style but it seems very classic

  • A moment of silence for one of my BRAND NEW Loft shells from a PA outlet....beautiful dusky rose sleeveless soft jersey with overlapping straight cut no hem chiffon flutters crisscrossing the front....a "wash inside out, lay flat to dry" top.....

I wore it for the first time this week. DH was being helpful, and did the laundry. Didn't check the care tags on my new top. It survived, but now has a bunch of little pulls all over the chiffon flutters.

I admit, I had a moment of tears. Partially for the shirt, partially over the fact that DH didn't check after seeing the top and 3 other similar care shirts sitting laid out to dry on the ironing board for 2 days before light pressing. (sort of  feeling of him not caring enough about my things to check, even though I know that's not rational). Oh, also rescued a top he'd placed in the dryer about 15 minutes into the cycle with the same care requirements.

I will still wear the top, but DH now feels bad and wants to go the 2 hours to the closest loft outlet to try and find the top- I can't find it in the online loft store. I have said I can't justify us driving 2 hrs each way on the off chance we find the darn top, and it's not like I'll toss the original out. I will wear it, and hope with some steaming I can ease some of the pulls.

Honestly, I'd rather he pay for me to get the dress below on sale tomorrow at our local mall.

Honestly, if HR is wearing it, I would avoid it completely. I definitely buy into the "dress for the job you want, not the job you have" idea--especially as a young lawyer.

They definitely aren't the most comfy panty, but I must say they are flattering for my butt! I have a panty problem. I have close to 70 pairs. I am ready to not do laundry for a sold two months.
