talk to me about programs

Are brochures ordered from a printing company...such as vista print...tacky at all? Say it is on typical, glossy brochure type paper. Would you side-eye this?

Vistaprint does a very nice job.  Programs are optional, anyway.  Church weddings usually use the same paper that is used in regular services.

  • @CMGragain we NEEEEED programs. I recently became Catholic so most of my family is still Lutheran. I'd like them to understand what is happening as much as possible :)

  • We bought boxes of templates from Michaels and printed then on our home printer. It was cheap and we could make them as custom as we wanted. Its one I'd my favorite keepsakes from the wedding.

Nope.  Your family won't see much difference in the ceremonies.  Remember, the Lutheran Chruch was the first church to break away from the Catholic Church.  Lutheran services are modeled on Catholic ones, as are Episcopalian and Methodist.  The only difference is the Rite of Holy Eucharist (Communion) which is not usually included in protestant marriage ceremonies, though it is celebrated monthly in most churches.
You can have programs if you want them.  Ask the church you are being married in if they can supply them.  You will probably save some money.
