Tuesday Accountability

B:  Coffee, yogurt, oatmeal
L:  Salad... maybe a soup too
D:  Black Bean burgers?  Hot Dogs?  Pasta?  Something quick is all I know
S:  Carrots w/fat free ranch dip, sugar-free pudding, maybe popcorn after dinner
E:  T25 Week 2 Day 2 - Total Body Circuit

I went to my dietician yesterday - I started seeing her on 7/17 and yesterday my weight was down 5lbs.  I've always lost weight slow, so for me this is at least good/steady.  I've added exercise now, so I'm hoping I can lose more like 8lbs, but I'll be happy with anything (My goal is 6lbs for the month).

Re: Tuesday Accountability

  • B- Coffee and Smoothie
L- Leftover Enchilada casserole (which is paleo and NOMSSSS)
D- H and I might pick up something before his softball game tonight

    E- CrossFit
  • B: 2 eggs, WW english muffin with a little raspberry preserves, 1 pc. bacon, 1/2 nectarine
S: birthday toffee nut latte from SBUX!
L: red wine braised chicken over WW bowtie pasta, zucchini and capicola, watermelon

D: sesame-soy meatballs, brown rice medley, sugar snap peas and zucchini

WO: Yoga Meltdown and a short run

I weighed this morning and I'm down to 124.6 lbs. I don't know if I'm losing muscle mass after stopping Insanity or if I'm just slimming down because I'm not over training anymore.  I'll do measurements at the end of the month!

good work, @Dignity100!  even if you're not losing "poundage", continue to check your measurements.  with a work out routine like T25, you should see quite a bit of muscle gain and that will reflect on the scale, so you won't be dropping in pounds but you'll be tightening up and becoming more lean.
  • B- hot chocolate, yogurt with blueberries

    L-spaghetti squash with butter garlic

    S-apple

D-not sure yet, possibly pasta in marinara sauce

    S-wine and some sun chips

E-elliptical and an abs work out

I keep forgetting to take my measurements.  I found my measuring tape over the weekend and just haven't done it yet.  I was just thinking about how T25 is probably helping me gain more muscle.  I do have quite the journey in front of me as far as weight loss and dieting go so between diet and working out, I should still see a nice amount of weight "fall off" as well.  I know 1lb of muscle takes up less space than 1lb of flab though :o) .  My pants are fitting better, I've seen that, my e-ring is fitting better (it was starting to get tight!).

  • @Dignity100 - I read this article recently, and it's really interesting.  I thought you might want to read it, too!  LINK

My dietician and I actually were just talking about this topic yesterday.  I know I keep wanting to add a little more of an arm workout (I don't think currently T25 is doing a great upper body workout) but I keep getting destracted by all the pretty bright shiny objects around me.

  • @Dignity100 - Congrats!!

    ----------------------------------------

    B: Eggbeaters, tomatoes, hot sauce

L: Chicken salad with loads of veggies

D: Black beans, cheese and quinoa

S: Wine and something else I'm sure

    E: 30 minutes treadmill @ 4mph and @ 8 incline

  • @Dignity100‌ that's awesome! When I lost a bunch of weight a couple of years ago, I was told 1-2 lbs per week was healthy, so I'd say you're right on track for healthy, long-term weight loss. :-) way to go! B - peppermint tea and probably a banana with PB2 S- Greek yogurt L- probably chicken noodle soup and some crackers. S- baby bel cheese, granola bar D - no idea. Maybe taco salad? E - none again. Having a hard time breathing with this stupid sinus infection.

  • B: 1/2 mashed avocado and 1 hard-boiled egg on a bagel thin with Frank's
L: Progresso Roasted Chicken and Veggie Soup
    S: Greek yogurt
D: ST Harissa Meatloaf assuming I don't die at my root canal :(

    W: LOTS

E: Any recommendations on things I can do with just my upper body? I can't run or do any of my workout DVDs because of my ankle and I really need to get back to being active and stop making up excuses.

    @Dignity100 - WAY TO GO!!!!!!

  • @Swazzle - Can you get on the rowing machine?  Not sure if your foot will fit with the boot.  Boxing is good cardio and doesn't have to be hard on your ankle either if you just focus on upper body work.
  • @minskat30 - I don't have a gym membership. I used to but I didn't feel like I used to it enough to warrant spending $80 a month.

  • @Swazzle - Sorry...I just have a gym at work.  I know how you feel about gym memberships...very expensive.  You can still do shaddow boxing without a bag/gloves.  Do you have any weights?
  • @Swazzle - Just focus on your arms and core.

    Here's a workout for arms
    http://www.bride2befitness.com/2013/04/the-wedding-dress-workout-incredible.html

You can do "girl pushups" where you're knees are on the floor and not feet.  You can do situps - basically you can do everything I always try to avoid!!

I just pulled up that site you gave me and you might be able to get some ideas off of the Ab intervals for T25:

There are some things that you can do from that workout.

  • @minskat30 - I do have weights! But they're like 5lbs and under hahaha

@Dignity100 - Thank you! I didn't even think of using that site to do some of the moves that I'm still able to do.

  • You could box it out with hand weights @swazzle!

I stupidly stepped on my moms scale last week since I threw mine out, and it was devastating, it felt like 3 weeks of exercising and counting calories were for nothing. So I'm trying to keep my mind right and still eat well.

    B: peach and coffee
    L: Wendy's strawberry fields salad
D: homemade fried rice(not so diet good)
E: probably none, I overslept from bingeing on PLL last night (devastating Ezra twist is upon me) and my mom is coming for dinner

Yes - that is a much better term.  I just always called them 'girl pushups' because a long long time ago in gym class the girls were allowed to get away with them while the boys were not.

  • I did both Yoga Meltdown and a 2.5 mi run (including warm up and cool down, just 30 min or so)... feeling great about that! tomorrow will also be 16 days since I quit Insanity and 14 days since my last migraine!! @Dignity100‌ : have you seen this? even my H is calling me out when I slip up and say some derogatory about being a "girl". whoops! Like A Girl Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkTh_r66lDA (on my iPad and couldn't get the link to work)
