Bucca Di Beppo for Rehearsal Dinner?

Hi ladies - Fi's parents are now seriously considering Bucca Di Beppo in Dupont.  It is near the hotel  and could be a fun place.  Have any of you had or been to a RD there?  What did you like/not like about it?

I haven't been there for a RD, but a friend had a co-ed shower dinner there. It's a fun place for a group. On the plus side, it kind of forces interaction between people who don't know each other very well yet because of the family-style meal, and the fun decor makes for conversation. But it is also very casual and busy, so if you had a more formal, chic feel in mind for your RD, it may not be ideal.

HI--we just had our rehearsal dinner at that Bucca on 2/5! It worked really well for us--they have semi-private room (the Passion Room) and it was great for our group of 30. They can hold 50. Prices were reasonable and the food was easy and appealed to all. My uncle, a bit of a food snob, RAVED about the dessert. We got great reviews from everyone on the choice, I'd definitely recommend it.

Hey - thanks for the feedback!

We are inviting around 50-55 people - do you think we will fit in the private room?

Check in with them: 202.232.8466. I thought it was 50 max, but I may be mistaken--that may have been the number needed to guarantee the full room as private for us--we had 30 and still had it to ourselves. Capacity may be a bit higher than I thought. Good luck!

mccuenb -- Thanks!  I'm glad to hear that you had your rehearsal dinner there and loved it!

Fi's dad went to check it out, they said we would be fine as long as we don't go too much over 55.  Also, perhaps some of the people on this list won't be coming to the wedding, but we won't know until closer till.

What food package did you do?
