Happy Dance !!!

Just got word we are going to Anguilla in November.  So excited.

Anyone else doing a happy dance today?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Re: Happy Dance !!!

  • No, but I am for you! How awesome!

Well, I should be, because my bachelorette party is 2 days away. But I'm having a hard time getting excited about it because I don't know what we're doing. Sis refuses to tell me, but I don't like surprises/spontaneity. I'm a planner! I keep forgetting it's even happening. Someone asked if I was excited for Saturday and I said "huh? What's on Saturday?"

  • I'm sure you will have a blast on Saturday. This is a work trip for DH. His best friend is a chef down there and is bringing DH as a guest chef. I get to tag along and hangout at resort with his wife and daughter.

  • No happy dances here but I am SUPER excited for you! My parents are going on their now-annual Kauai trip in October and I'm so jealous.

What are y'all going to do in Anguilla? (Besides have a really nice vacation, obviously)

  • Not me.  I just found out that the wedding we're going to this weekend is a PPD.  They're getting married tomorrow instead cos they want a friend to officiate their ceremony, and I assume they're not legally allowed to.  I'm not impressed that they're pretty much lying to over 300 people about this

  • Lynda, I am so so jealous! I am joining in on your happy dance!

Not sure.   We get the details of how long we will be there tomorrow.   Then DH has to figure out his work schedule.   I'm hoping just hang out at a pool/beach and some hot cabana boy brings me drinks all day.    Maybe throw in a massage.

  • That sounds SO GOOD. Nothing like a relaxing vacation in a gooooorgeous climate/locale!

  • Do you need someone to carry your suitcase?
  • I'm doing a happy dance because I didn't cry at my therapy session! (It's the little things). Congrats, Lynda!
  • Do you need someone to carry your suitcase?
It'll be awfully heavy with me squeezed in it.

  • Happy dance commencing here! Found EVEN BETTER centerpiece vases on the cheap that were prime eligible, and they had EXACTLY the number I needed left, so I snapped those up.

AND I went by Fresh Market for my weekly fancy food adventure and found MUSCADINES!!!! I have never seen them for sale anywhere in New England since I moved up here, I'm so excited to eat some!!!

    Mine too!

Also, I am totally a planner and my man of honor wont share many details. UGH.

I'm kind of jealous. I'm a planner, too, but I knew all the details of my bachelorette party, and not by choice. There was no real excitement. I wish someone had the initiative to surprise me!

In Canada? If so, you can only be legally married by government recognized religious officials and certain municipal officials. My sister is getting legally married at the RD because the ceremony officiant can't marry them. I really don't understand this - if the friend is so important have them co-officiate with some one that can do the legal part.

Nothing exciting here, but happy dance because I can leave work now!

  • Awww you are having an awesome day! And Anguilla in November sounds amazing. FI's cousin invited a group of us to go to Aruba in November, she already booked her trip. As much as I would love to go, I'd rather be modest with the finances this year. My wallet is starting to bleed from all the wedding costs lol. So instead, I will live vicariously through you, and imagine myself out on a sunny beach, sipping on a tropical cocktail, working on my tan 8-)

  • Yay for you Lynda!! I did have a great day actually because I wore my wedding heels to work to break them in/ see how they felt and they were awesome! They are teal suede pumps by Jessica Simpson and didn't hurt one bit. Then I had my final fitting and it fit perfectly so yay!!

Lolo, you will have a blast! Mine was supposed to be a surprise last Saturday but I used my deduction skills to figure out we were going to the ocean. Since we were leaving at 8am and people only get up that early to drive the 2 hours to the ocean. It was awesome, just 4 of us relaxing in the sun then out for dinner then home. I'm not a bar person (I don't drink) so it was perfect. I'm sure your girls know what you like!

Your H sounds so sweet, Lynda. I am cheers-ing to you and your upcoming vacation! I'm super jealous. Will you get much time with DH while you are there? I know you will have an amazing time regardless.
