Reception Guest Seating Question!

Hi!

So, I was planning on having escort cards, but I had a couple of issues there. Instead, I thought I might have a number of nice photo frames that matched the reception, each with a list of guests' names and a table number, telling them which table to sit at. This would eliminate individual escort cards and keep people from forgetting where they put their cards. I'm not sure if this is unacceptable as far as etiquette goes, though. The wedding is a semi-formal, evening wedding in October.

Please help! I don't want to sink money into something I shouldn't actually use.

    This is perfectly acceptable and in fact I have been to a wedding that did it.

    That will be something uncommon and offbeat. Something which is unique is better to use than a traditional one. And after all your sole purpose is to let the guests know about their seats and tables which will be accomplished by the photo frames too. So, just go ahead and blast your wedding! :-)

    It's actually becoming more common, probably thanks to Pinterest.
