Planet Hollywood saying suites can't be guaranteed?

I emailed them about possibly touring the apex and boulevard suite because I couldn't get anyone who could understand me over the phone. I received a reply back saying suites at Planet Hollywood cannot be reserved in advance - that they are given upon check-in and to visit the website (Caesars.com) to see what other properties have suites that are available to be reserved ahead of time (which both the apex and boulevard are). Anyone ever heard of this?

Re: Planet Hollywood saying suites can't be guaranteed?

  • Yep, they began that policy in 2012.  They can still be booked by a wedding coordinator.  I think they started this policy to keep the rooms available for high rollers they want to comp last minute, and to force you to use their chapel and/or catering.

  • I haven't researched it, but can Total Rewards book them?

  • Thanks @vegasgroom‌ ! It's weird that they still allow you to 'book' it online though. I guess I'll be looking at other options!
  • I've been wondering how many of those suites there are; maybe there aren't too many.  High rollers typically take precedence over regular guests, and they like to come at the spur of the moment. On the plus side, at least PH tells you they're not guaranteeing you get your room, as opposed to Mandalay who has been known to cancel single night Vista suite bookings with no notice; they just tell you sorry when you go to check in.

  • Hi
I have heard of this also when we went on our scouting trip last week
We saw many, i believe hard rock is another one, tropicana, palms suites

I understand high rollers however if i am paying the going rate i should be able to get that room! and to me i didnt like that so found hotels who could gaurantee me a room i.e hotel 32 the room.suite i wanted....last thing i want is to be down graded to a room i dont want especially that we plan on coming on fri/sat i dont want to take that chance...that was a deal braker for me.....best of luck

p.s Vegas groom you are wonderful! all your tips and tricks and responses as with the other brides...what would we do without you all...

    Happy holidays  all :)
  • @vegasgroom yes you can book through total rewards! I emailed back asking for a little more clarification because the suites I'm interested in are indeed available to book online and received:

"When booking a specific room type or in this case suite, you are guarantee essentially what has been selected. Once your booking has been reserved we can advise regarding suite/room type booked and it's specifics accommodations."

I don't even understand that last part.

@chant23 were you able to tour Hotel 32? The Penthouse? How many people do you think can fit in there?

  • Up until recently you could book all the Caesars suites through anthologysuites.com. As a matter of fact, I just let go of the Apex Suite I've had booked for months now that we're committed to the Stardust suite. Definently check it out...they have suites at PH, Rio, Paris, all the Caesars properties..it was a good way to compare and eliminate options as well

  • Awesome thanks!
  • Hi EricandMarie
Yes last week when we was in vegas scouting we did see the penthouse suite and the loft suite

Loft suite - Ricky very suite showed us around, he said it can hold 10-15 people: has table with 4 high top chairs and a sofa and small glass fridge (ricky very nice checkin guy said its cheaper than suite)

Penthouse - Wow can fit about 20 people or so (maybe more) you can opt to have the pool table or the table that seats 8 i believe (forgot) and has a sofa

Hotel 32 also would give us cheap rates for guest (cheaper than mandalay bay my fi said)

Hotel 32 told me due to safety reasons they do not have microwaves/ovens in the room

Hotel32 has huge bath tubs and 2 bath rooms (1 for guest and 1 for couple) nice view and they have a lounge with serves snacks in am and snacks in pm incl drinks etc and lounge has a nice view (im thinking after we complete dinner reception and dance we can go back to our room or hang out in the lounge) also hotel 32 said if we stay and we had guest stay else where they would allow select few upto the lounge complimentary and the suites include pickup and drop off limo service and for $30 round trip for bride and groom they would include a limo to take us

    Here are the rooms

It has some really cool places to hang out and i think its one of the cheapest suites for a new hotel and all rooms are on 1 floor and as you come out the lift you walk into dedicated checkin

I wish o took pictures now

We also looked at treasure island but dissapointed the rooms were run down!

    Thank you
  • I actually went and toured both the 2 Bedroom Sky Loft at MGM and the Penthouse at Hotel 32.

My pictures were defintely an afterthought and are not the best quality. I also just did the main area.
  • hey, email Lanora Sands - her email is lsands (at) caesars.com

She is a VIP Manager and had booked my PH Suite (but we changed to Cosmo) and has booked restuarants for other meals while we are there for large groups, without having to have a set menu.

She is very helpful and should be able to help you out.

  • Hi ericandmarie
Im curious what did you think of hotel 32? did you see the lounge?

we loved mgm but it was too costly and hotel32 suites are alot cheaper than mgm (this way we could afford to stay in same hotel room for duration of stay) otherwise if my budget alowed no questions it would have been aria suite or mgm 1 bed sky loft or palms sky villa hands down.....

    Please let me know, cheers

I second this!  We originally booked a PH suite through Dallas but he has since left total experiences and Lanora took over.  We just had to pay for 1 night in advance and then pay for the second when we arrive!
  • Awesome! Thanks !
@Chant23‌ I liked hotel 32! The decor was great and everyone was super friendly! The lounge does a "happy hour" for a couple hours in the afternoon with some snacks as well as some breakfast items in the mornings. I REALLY wish the penthouses were bigger. The bedroom was good size and the bathroom is huge!

That's one side of the lounge. The side were sitting on has a whole wall of couch like seating. Also don't mind the random in the pictures - no clue who he is.
  • Hi
Thank you - i was so into it i forgot to take pictures

I plan on using the lounge (pending all guest stay here also) in the lounge! this way food/drinks/view/no cleaning up/less stress is all taken care of

Just a though maybe they can join 2 rooms together and if you stayed here maybe they would give you a good rate (for aria, palms, caesars suits its like $$$$ which was way out my budget)

Thanks this is good to know :)
  • Hi
I mean pending all guest stay at hotel32 i will use the lounge for pre drinks and snacks 1 day prior to wedding....also with happy hour guest can buy own drinks (were covering day of drinks and food)

This is excellent because ill have a location, drinks @ happy hour, food, nice view and clean up taken care off! only thing is guest take care of own drinks (on day of wedding were covering food/drinks/transportation etc)
