Not getting tag notifications

I'm not getting any notifications when I've been tagged in a post, ex. @JCBride2015.  I've noticed this both when people copy/paste or type the name, even when the tag looks live and links to my profile.  What gives?

    I don't get them when the name is bolded. I don't know if the user does that, or if it's another fun glitchy thing, but I can see why that would interfere with tag functionality.

    I think it's usually bolded because the user copied and pasted from somewhere-- I never got those.  Now I generally don't get them even when the user types the name.
