need help---- mainly with comparisons in pricing. Tahoe V Vegas :)

boyfriend weve talked marriage just waiting for the ring lol. He wants Tahoe says cheaper but hes only looked at hotel prices. I want Vegas. Can anyone help us with this? If not all good. I think and have told him the 702 wedding ceremony packages and Tropicana packages are cheaper and come with more than the venues we have seen online for Tahoe.

  • There's obviously tons of options just depends on your budget, how many people and what vibe are you going for?

More specifics and I'm sure you'll get a lot of answers!
  • lol we want beachy feel that's why im thinking 702 wedding due to Hawaiian gardens or Trop.  He likes Tahoe for this beachy feel.  We both want outside 50 and under people.  Im thinking no more than $5000 for ceremony and reception and if less than woohoo.
  • forgot to add--- wont be till 2016 july :)
  • 702 Weddings does do a Hilton "Beach" poolside wedding too! You can always go chat with them online, that's what I did for my questions. Good luck! :) Keep us posted!

  • I think of Vegas as a love/hate kind of place to get married.  If your future FI is leaning towards Tahoe it may not be solely about price, because there are certainly any number of hotels in Vegas that can be used to keep guests' financial burdens down; hell, typically you can even get on the strip for <$100/night if you shop around and use coupons.

In any case, I don't think the vibe of Vegas and Tahoe can really be compared; they're nothing like each other.  If I was an outdoorsy kind of person, and wanted an outdoor ceremony on a beach, I'd definitely go with Tahoe; it's beautiful there and the weather is very comfortable even in July.  Vegas it will be creeping towards the I don't want to be outside longer than ten minutes level and while yes, you can get married on a beach in Vegas, it's still going to have that 'this is a manufactured beach, it's hot and I'm in the desert' aspect in the back of your mind.  Vegas is perfect for some but definitely not for all.
