  • We need more details to be able to help you. When would you be looking to have the wedding? How many guests are you going to be hosting? Which part of the state are you looking to have your wedding?

  • The number of guests and your general area (North, Central, South) are really important to answering this question.  And are you set on a particular day of the week or time?  Or would, say, a brunch wedding be okay?

Choosing anything other than a Saturday night will save you lots of money.

  • It's doable, but as others have said, we need details. How many guests are you having? What's your preferred day of the week? Time? Any restrictions?

  • Agreed that guest count and day of the week are the two biggest ways to save money. Also, when looking for a venue, non traditional DIY venues that COME WITH TABLE AND CHAIRS and other things in the space rental fee also helps. State parks with picnic tables, old theaters, cabins, Women's Clubs, etc. are good finds. It's definitely possible to find inexpensive caterers, but you also have to consider tax, service, dinnerware, etc. when getting prices from those caterers. Dessert style weddings, carving station/cocktail style weddings, or sometimes buffets help cut the cost of food.
