If I write "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" on the outer envelope of my invitations, can I write "Mr & Mrs Smith & family" on the inner envelope or do I need to list every kid? I have a few families with a lot of kids and I would rather not write them all out (one of them has 7 kids). OR can I just write "The Smith Family" or "The Smiths" on the inner envelope?

You should list the names on the inner envelope. It's easier than explaining to Mrs. Smith, after she RSVPs, that you didn't intend to include her mother on the invitation.
