DIY Video for your wedding

I was wondering if anyone has went through places that you purchased cameras to video tape and send them back to edit?  I have seen a site called Webit that seems to get good reviews.  I am looking to see if this was even an option vs spending the money for a videographer.
Thanks

  • We're using WedFlik. Wedding isn't for 9 more days but I'll try to remember to come back and tell you how it went!

If we hadn't done this, we would have skipped video entirely. I asked nearly all my married friends and family and NONE of the ones who had video had ever gone back and watched it. Of those who didn't have it, none of them regretted it. Just could not justify the steep cost. This way it's a reasonable enough price that if it turns out shitty or we never watch it again, it won't be such a big waste.

  • We actually watched our wedding video.  It was quite entertaining.  We only got a videographer, though, because we got married in the winter and the videographer we had previously contacted reached back out to me and offered to shoot our wedding for half-off since he didn't have any other weddings.
  • Thank you!
  • I would love to know how wedflik went for your wedding!  Thank you!
