Drinks prior to the wedding

Is it traditional to have a glass of champagne, or a mimosa, with your girlfriends and bridesmaids while you're getting dressed before the wedding? I'm wondering what the traditions are.

I'm thinking having a glass or two of champagne in the morning will abate my nerves!

I don't know about tradition, but if I'm in Vegas AND I'm getting married, I will probably be drinking the majority of the time.

My first wedding was in Cancun. Drinking started around 9 am. LOL

Please have a glass (or two) of champagne prior to your wedding. But also EAT.

I plan on having a mimosa bar in my suite while we are all getting ready...drinking will for sure occur...all day!

My wife and her girls had a few bottles of champagne over the course of getting ready. Don't forget to have some water too though.

Some wedding chapels have a "liquid courage" addition to their package. The groom and groomsmen get a shot, and the bride and bridesmaids get a mimosa (or something similar).

We had some champagne beforehand, but I made sure everyone ate brunch first.

We are likely having the immediate families for a brunch, and I am sure I will be having drinks during that and when I am getting my hair and makeup done! Lol!
