  • Morning ladies!  I did better this weekend but still not great (especially yesterday with no workout and lots of football).  Overall, I'm down about 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks though so not bad progress.

    B: Fruit and cheese stick

L: Chicken salad...I'm really craving already and it isn't 10 am

D: Black Bean and Quinoa with salsa, onion and cheese

S: Wine (I've got some corporate events that involve drinking but I've decided I'm giving it up two days during the week this week though).

E: 45-60 minutes of cardio is the goal.

  • I have got to get better on the weekends. I'm so easily swayed to make almost every meal a cheat meal, and that's gotta stop! I did get back in the gym though, which is a huge improvement from the past month. @LivLeighton's workout routine will basically be mine... thanks again so much for posting that last week! You really helped a lot!

B - green smoothie (kale, spinach, arugula, cucumber, pineapple, banana, coconut almond milk, and protein powder)
    S - Greek yogurt
L - spinach tortilla with turkey and cheese, baby carrots, applesauce, and Jello (as usual)
S - granola bar, cheese stick (I'm going to switch to almonds and a cheese stick once we run out of the granola bars... too much sugar and carbs)
D - tilapia, rolls, peas. I swear I've been trying to make this meal for weeks now but something always comes up.

    E - cardio and weights

  • Ugh, this weekend was terrible.  I have absolutely no control when it comes to sugary breakfast foods, and somebody brought donuts to church yesterday morning...

    Today will be better!

    B--coffee and green smoothie
    S--apple and almonds
    L--2 hardboiled eggs, veggies, hummus
    S--pear and string cheese
D--leftover leek & potato soup with a slice of homemade wheat bread

E--2 Zumba classes because I'm subbing for another instructor who's out, ballet class
  • @ellis1228 & @livleighton I LOVE when I hear of women lifting.  I went back and read the thread about your regimen, and I just wanted to say that I did the NROLFW for awhile, and i can't even tell you how amazing my butt got after squatting so much.  The only reason I didn't stick with it is because a gym membership got soooo spendy when I was unemployed. Since I fell very far off the wagon I'm redoing the Jillian Michael's body revolution and then by December I hope to be back to New Rules.

  • @BreMR I just finished a round of it tonight, and I'm so grateful to @LivLeighton for posting it. I did a lot of lifting for a while too, but I had a trainer and just did what I was told... and then I just stopped working out for about a month when we moved and forgot everything. I love how lifting relieves stress... and you feel so empowered while doing it too! I really love feeling the lactic acid too... I know that sounds weird, but it helps me feel like I did something effective. I hope you're able to get back into lifting ASAP. It's the best!

  • Today, I did my Jillian Michael's workout, and biffed it in my living room :-/ ridiculous.  My knee turned my ankle bent... how embarrassing.  Luckily, I was the only one around to witness it!  Definitely putting lifting on the back burner until I can avoid injury without weights :)
