Final Fitting Last Night

I always loved my wedding dress, but with the final fitting last night, and seeing it "bustled" I couldn't feel anything more like a Princess in real life! Wow, I didn't imagine my dress looking so beautiful!

I'd like to put a picture of it here, but from the neck up I looked like a crazy Grandma and I'm only 35 years old HAHAHA

Has anyone else had a change in heart about switching to a different dress for the after party/reception after seeing their gowns bustled?

Re: Final Fitting Last Night

  • I'm doing a short dress for the whole day so I wouldn't have to worry about dragging a long dress around the strip, bustled or not.  I'm really happy with my decision, but it's getting custom made, so it's a little stressful.  I totally trust the designer, but the dress just being an idea and not something physical you can try on is a little odd.  Hopefully I'll get to try it on in about a month (and hopefully I won't regret my decision!).
  • Keep your gown on and wear it bustled for the reception. Sounds like you love it and there's no better feeling than staying in your dream wedding dress all day. :)

  • I'll be wearing mine all day until we head to the nightclub. It sounds like you love it so why not stick with it :)

  • I do love it! I told my sister last night that I can't imagine changing out of it on the actual day I get married. I'm getting married at 5pm though...

I'm bringing a back up dress just incase I get too hot while dancing HA!

  • I thought about getting a second dress... but my MOH pointed out that she wore hers out to a club after their reception because she didn't want to take it off! Which makes sense... its the most expensive and fancy dress you will ever wear, so why not get your money's worth?!?!
  • I got a second dress but mainly because I always go over the top on fashion anyway and I didn't spend a large amount on either. If I had spent several thousand dollars I agree...id sleep in the dress!

  • I plan on wearing mine all night i will have a back up plan just in case but we are  not doing a full reception with dancing and what not.
