Sugar Factory...

I can't get a response or a return call from the Sugar Factory. I am considering pre-wedding dinner to be held here. Does anyone have any pricing or menu options for this place? oOr does anyone have other thoughts on a "rehearsal dinner" type function for approx. 30 folks (kids and adults) that is not overly expensive? Something casual of course. Thanks!

I have their group menus and can email them to you. They range from $35-$65 per person.

(SN: it took about four days to get info from them via email.)

I don't have enough people for a private space so I initially looked at these menus to use for a large table in the main dining area. No minimum in that case...

It seems like a super cute venue. GL

Yeah, we're not that concerned about a private space with only 10 guests. We figure that they will appreciate the free meal and beverages no matter where we sit and the portion of the evening in our suite will be our private event.

But @nyvegaslove, you have a lot more people so we're in different boats.

The private space is $3.5k minimum. They are VERY hard to communicate with. I am calling the manager tomorrow to let them know about my exprience (and what I have heard/seen from others). Will let you know how that goes.

@nyvegaslove, search a few of my recent posts if you want to read my bitches about Sugar Factory. I've run into situations with places taking a long time to return calls or emails but nothing like how they operate (or more accurately, DON'T operate). It's ridiculous. For a place that touts their party specialties, they have absolutely horrendous customer service.

I sent him an email stating my (our) complaints about the lack of communication and limited answers to our questions. We will see how he responds!

So I just learned from the GM that the Chocolate Lounge will be undergoing a remodel and the color and feel with be completely different. The remodel will be done by Valentine's Day. He said the room will be "more intimate and still sophisticated."

I got a post on my wall from the Sugar Factory manager as well. I see that he has been banned from theknot though. Anybody know what that's about? Was it not the real manager or something?

No he's the real manager. He is the manager of Cesilia. I think they block all vendors as part of their policy. He was super helpful and answered all my questions and got my contract to me all in 24 hours. I hope that also means he will be coaching Cesilia on customer service.
