Cafe Wha Band

Hi ladies. Is anyone using them? I'd love to keep the band to $5000, which I know is low, and was wondering if they fit anywhere near that budget before I call. Thanks!

You could page Steph/I<3Seabass to inquire; I know she's using them for her upcoming, December wedding.

We're booked with them and they are pretty much double that for a 9 pieces. But we were able to negotiate price with them.I'm not sure how many pieces they would be willing to go down to but that would reduce the cost. Also they are more expensive the further away from the city you go (travel costs)I would definitely call them though, they really took care of us when we went to go see them. Adam, the bandleader is super nice and who knows he may be able to work something out.

Thank you! Much appreciated! I knew FI was going to win with increasing the band budget!

We looked at a ton of bands in all price ranges and we just fell in love with Cafe Wha. In your price range we saw Soul Finger Live which was $5500 for 9 pieces. They are also a bar band (if that's the vibe you're going for instead of a traditional wedding band). IMO I thought they were good. FI didn't love them and thought they were just OK. http://www.soulfingerlive.com/We also saw Lliquid, which actually plays at the bar across from Cafe Wha. I also thought they were very good (better than soul finger) and they are a younger group which I liked. They were $5,000 for 7 pieces and they go all the way up to 11 pieces. Caketime used them for her wedding so you can page her for a review. http://www.lliquid.com/

This is awesome. You just saved me a few hours worth of work! Thanks!
  • My fiance and I are deciding between the Cafe What band and a "traditional" wedding band for our event next June!  We are a little hesitant with Cafe Wha playing a "wedding crowd" as opposed to a fun sing a long type atmosphere at the bar/club.  Does anyone have any feedback that used Cafe Wha's band at their wedding??  If so, what type of music did you  have them play and how many "pieces" did you have?  Thank you SO much for any info - this has been such a tough decision for us!
