What are acceptable black boots/shoes to go with skinny jeans? Not for snow or anything, but to look decent for family pictures and life in general.

I love ballet flats with skinny jeans.

I just got these last week in black. I want the brown pair and the animal print pair as well (actually I want every color). The reviews aren't so hot but I tried them on in store and they are not uncomfortable for me.

I also like the ballet flats, they're easy---usually cheap, but sometimes slippery so be careful.

And I still like my boots---so there!

The only way I find skinny jeans acceptable is with a calf high boot. Sorry, it's just a fashion trend that I wish would die a fiery death already.

I just don't think the skinny jeans look is flattering on the majority of the population. It makes people look like ice cream cones.

I'm not a fan of skinny jeans, or jeans tucked into boots, in general. I don't think it's a flattering look.

go with the flats, if they're comfortable for you. (I can't generally wear them - I feel like they cut into my feet.)

i like boots for "winter" - but I wear them under my jeans, or with a skirt.

FTR, I have these shoes in about abillionty colors and LOVE them. Plus, they're usually less than $15 at my store and if they get funky, I just toss them and replace.

ETA: And they have really good grippy soles.

I tried on jeggings. They were hysterically awful. I'm getting the shoes in black. I was debating ankle boots, but I just don't think I'd ever wear them again.
