  It's pretty good; the view is great.  If you're going on Thurs-Sat nights, and have a group of girls, find one of the promoters walking around the casino area and get free entrance tickets.  It's very  touristy so expect a lot of bartenders doing stupid tricks and gimmicks like that.  Drink prices are like anywhere in Vegas; expensive.  The music is typically mediocre.  There will be a lot of people only dressed up enough to satisfy the dress code; i.e. shirt, pants, shoes.
  
  Across the street at Palms is Ghostbar, same view, typically much better DJ's, people who dress sharp tend to get in ahead of others if they're in the regular line so you see most everyone dressed up.  It's definitely a bit more expensive but the drinks are usually very strong.  Far less of a touristy feel even though almost everyone is a tourist in Vegas.  If you eat at N9NE beforehand you'll get a priority line card and free cover so typically you're in Ghost within five mintues.

  I love Ghostbar and any of the high end restaurants in Palms. To me...much more sophisticated than Rio (relative speaking for a Vegas crowd).

  Also loved Ghost bar, the view is phenomenal!  I really like going into Playboy club for a drink also!  Never been to the Rio so I can't compare but thought the Palms was nice
