Who told them this was ok?

image

In case you can't read the lovely message.... "As you know we will soon be getting on a plane, Our Excitement has been hard to contain. Your generousity towards our trip would be extra nice, Money should be no option for our week in paradise!!"

WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?? Seriously, what does "Money should be no option" mean? Like they should not think twice about paying for your honeymoon?

This was found on FB in a wedding Swap'n'Shop group for a city near mine being sold for $30.

And the damn thing is u-g-l-y to boot!

  • tacky, tacky, tacky

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • I think it should be "money should be no problem..." You know, if it wasn't freakishly tacky.

    SITB!

I think they meant to say "money should be no object."  But if they're not wise enough to realize how tacky this is then it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that they got the idiom wrong.

    SITB again-

Nothing about this couple's idea makes any sense.  :-)

Jinx @MoutonRouge!  Great minds think alike.
  • Ugh... Gross.
  • Oh my :(

My boyfriend is trying to tell me when we get engaged, we should do a honey fund. I'm trying to convince him why it's bad, but I'm totally losing the battle.

I keep telling him, we just have a suuuuper tiny registry, and trust me, people will get it.

If they don't, they'll ask his mom, and she will set. them. straight.

  • It seems good taste was not an option, either.
Holy Mother on a pogo stick. That. Is. Bad.

Get if they sell it for 30 they may have something for their honeymoon! My guess is the first time the jar was used they got a handful of change, some pocket lint, a few candy wrappers, and hopefully some spit.

  • This just makes me so mad! A friend of mine did this at her wedding too! NO ONE wants to pay for your dances with dolphins! As if my CASH gift at your wedding isn't enough--you just have to squeeze more money out of my like some penny pinching homeless person down in the subway station. Jeezum crow! End rant.

  • Am I going to start having to bring chocolate coins and monopoly money to weddings?
