Happy Sunday

Congrats to all the newlyweds out there this morning.

JCB - have fun at the e-shoot today.

I'm so tired.  Have to leave in a few to work another wedding.  Last night's was pretty over the top. I hear today's is even better, but in a more causal way.  Today's has a full pig.  The pig came from one of the parent's own ranch.   DH had to put it on last night at midnight.  Then went back a few hours ago to check on it.    It was funny, the bride called all frantic last night "OMG, what if the bears get to the pig?" So just like any good millionaire would do, called someone to stay with the Pit-master all night to protect the pig.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Re: Happy Sunday

  • Sounds like fun!  I hope you enjoy the wedding.

  • I wonder what  pig security guard makes, sounds like a sweet job!  Except if a bear shows up though.  Never mind.

  • And what would they have done if a bear had shown up?
  • That made me giggle. If a bear shows up, you let the bear have the pig and you buy a new one. /shrug. A cooked one.

  • Lol omg that is too funny. Wow. Damn now I really want some pig lol.

  • Whole roasted pig is yummy. Goodness help the security guard between me and it.
    Happiness is an inside job
  • Update - Wedding was great.  It was really pretty.    Farm-to-table theme.  It was held at their ranch, so it really fit.  There were longhorns just 50 yards from the tent. so it was really farm-to-table.   The tent was amazing.  The back drop was the mountains.   They had nice leather sofas, chairs. People super nice.  Food amazing (okay, I may be bias on that one)

Wynona Judd sang.  That part was a little weird.  Well Judd is weird.  I'm not sure how much they paid for her, but I would have been disappointed at any price.

That is weird, in a great way. Because weirdness is so damned funny. Pig security, and Winona Judd at the same wedding? You just don't hear this sort of thing every day.
  • LOL - yeah.      They are a super sweet couple.    They had 55 kids.  What do you do when you own your own ranch and have 55 kids?   You build a playground of course.
