1. First Name & Fiance's First Name Shannon & Joey

2. Your Birthday & Age and Fiance's Birthday and Age- 5/26 turning the
BIG 30!, fi is 27

3. City Born In? Nasty Nati (Cincinnati, Ohio)

4. City Live in? Cincinnati

5. Where did you go to college? Currently at Univ of Cincinnati

6. What was your major? Nutritional Science

7. What is your current job? Customer Service

8. What is your dream job? Dentistry working with special needs
individuals

9. How did you and your fiance meet? Good ole Blackplanet baby!

10. When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? December 25,
2008@0000- I got off from work early on Christmas Eve around 10p and
Joseph mentioned going down to Fountain Square to take holiday pics
around the tree. As I waited at home for Joseph to get home from work,
he called me to remind to bring the camera. Now, I was really starting
to wonder, so just incase I applied a little makeup if he did propose.
No reason to look a hot mess in my pics. So he pulls up and honks his
horn for me to come out and soon as I get in the car he makes a remark
about why am I dolled up just to take pics? So I was feeling a bit
stupid, like maybe this is not the moment? We get down to the square and
here Joseph taking pics of me when a couple walking by, he ask can they
take a pic of both of us. He comes back and get down on his knee and
pulls out the Jared’s box and ask “Will you marry me?” Instead of
saying yes, I was yelling “that’s my ring!” See we’ve been ring
shopping for over a year now and that September we went to Jared’s and
I found a ring I really liked but Joey was playing like
he can not afford the ring. So I was pissed! I guess I was the fool at
the end, huh? Well the moment was short lived because soon after we had
a homeless guy ask us for money. You can not go no where in Cincinnati
without someone asking for money! LOL

11. When is the Wedding Day? 9/10/11

12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Spring Grove Cemetery and
Marriott

13. What are your wedding colors? Dark purple, cream, black and silver

14. Where are you honeymooning? Somewhere in Mexico

15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? Currently pending-steel drum band
for cocktail hour (Bob Marley Fan)

16. Biggest wedding splurge? Videography, still haven’t booked that
yet

17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't?
African dance during dinner and maybe a dinner duo plate instead of one
of two meal selection

18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? All of my AAW!

19. Favorite book? I love E.Lynn Harris!

20. Favorite movie? Joy Luck Club, Dancehall Queen and Charlie &
Chocolate Factory(original)

21. Favorite tv show? First 48, Rupaul’s Drag Race, and Anthony
Bourdain No Reservation

24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? More time
and less guest

25. Share something about yourself!! Quiet and a tad drop crazy

It was nice reading about you.

Are you considering going into Dentistry when you graduate or are you planning on becoming a nutritionist?

Will you be having a big birthday bash for your 30th?

Thanks for answering girl, it was great reading about you! So do you mind me asking who your steel drum band is and how much they charge? PM me if you want!

Also, I LOVE First 48 as well! That chick in the Nashville (or Memphis, can't remember) police department is no joke! I really like that show, makes me want to become a detective so I can figure out all the mysteries. LOL

Let me know if you want info about my videographer - he is AWESOME.

Thanks Wheat! My programs is a nutrition program for dietetics and the option to earn additional science credits for medical and dental school. So dentistry is also one of my options if I decide to. For my 30th, no I don't have any plans to do a Big 30 blowout, one reason is fbil wedding is the weekend before so that put a cramp in my wallet with gift and travel since the wedding is oot. I am a bit ticked but....

Girl, the dective with the long nails and heels is the Memphis PD. That lady is off the hook! How can you run or pull a gun out with 40 rings on your finger? Give me a minute I need to find the site, but the deposit is $50.

haha@Pas! I get that all the time. I am getting married at Norman Chapel at Spring Grove Cemetery. Norman Chapel is predominately used for wedding and very few funerals because the cemetery has a funeral home on site. Very beautiful place, I will try to upload pics if my computer don't mess up. Norman Chapel is actually very popular on my local Cincy board, several brides are getting married there.

As usual, I'm a sucker for proposal stories and yours didn't let me down. I love how he chumped you about being so glammed up. :) I had a Christmas proposal and he tricked me as well so we have that in common...I know yours was Christmas Eve, but It definitely makes the holiday that much more special huh?

The steel drum band sounds like it will be a wonderful touch. My FI loves Bob Marley also and has decided that if we have a daughter, Marley will be her name. :)

Lastly, I too love E. Lynn Harris books and First 48...we just finished watching it actually.

Great reading about you!
