All in all, the wedding day went pretty darn well.
I woke up at 5 am because I was too excited to keep sleeping. Got to the church just after 8 and it was like all my anxiety melted away. I knew everything would be awesome.
The ceremony was gorgeous. DH's vows were really sweet. I might post mine if anyone wants to read them. They made him cry, so I think I succeeded. The reception was awesome. Food was good, music was great, food was incredible.
Awesome moment: The photographer came up to my mom in the middle of the reception and apologized for some of the photos being blurry. She said he should talk to me. He said "No, I mean... I've been doing this for 10 years. I have seen a lot of weddings. No one ever makes me cry. I've cried twice today."
Only awkward thing: DH's dad's toast. He spent several minutes rambling about how heartbroken he was to lose his best friend when he dropped BIL off at college. Then kind of lamely finished up "But M became my workout buddy and music teacher and he's really cool." I get what he was trying to say (which was "hey M, you are the coolest person I know and I love you") but a lot of people side-eyed the actual delivery.
Friend posted these pics on FB. If this is what she got, I can't wait to see the pro pics! I like pic 4 a lot. The photogs were joking about how I modeled well with looking over my shoulder, and how if DH did it he'd just look like Blue Steel... so we did Blue Steel. The last pic is of my bridesmaids trying to peek in on our First Look... I know the pros missed this shot!
