I love the whole white lace wedding dress kinda thing. If I'm shopping on a budget what should my budget be? and is it possible to find a very beautiful dress for probably under $1000?

Your budget depends on what you can afford and what you are willing to allot (for example, some brides don't really care about their dress and would rather spend any extra money on more food or something else). You can definitely find lovely lace dresses for under $1000. What styles do you prefer? More modest or sexy? A-line, ball gown, mermaid, etc.? Sleeves, straps, or strapless? Myself and some of the other lovely ladies on here can show you some nice dresses if you give us some more details

Your budget should be whatever you can/want to spend on a dress. Work that out before you go shopping. There are some good options under $1,000 at David's Bridal.

Your budget depends on your budget for your whole wedding really and how you prioritize that budget. I spent about .5% of our wedding budget on my dress because I wanted a giant party reception more than I wanted a higher end dress.

Under $1000, your options may be limited but it's definitely doable. Mori Lee, Alfred Angelo, and David's Bridal might be good places to start.

I got my Allure gown for $1100 pre-tax and alterations. ETA: full lace Allure gown.

Also keep in mind that the dress budget shouldn't be just for the dress. You most likely will have to pay for some alterations as well. But I think it's very doable to find your dress for that price range!

I got mine from David's Bridal for $786 (that includes tax). It's column style, all lace dress from the White by Vera Wang line, It's a beautiful dress without breaking the bank. I got a fuller look on the bottom with one of their slips so it doesn't hang straight down.

Also if 1k is your budget do not forget about alterations! I've seen girls blow their whole budget on the dress and forget that alterations can get pricey - mine were almost $500

Ditto about alterations! Often they're at least $300, usually more. And of course you need to budget for whatever undergarments you plan to wear, and your veil/ head piece.

I bought my dress at a bridal boutique for $700 (and in an expensive part of an expensive state-- CT). You'd be surprised at some of the prices you can find if you shop around a bit!
