6let had an awesome birthday yesterday.  He got the exact day he asked for and the cotton candy maker he asked for PLUS a ninja turtle lego set he didn't even know existed.  Thank you Meijer Clearance section for these gifts. The legos sell for $50 on amazon and I snagged it for just under $30.

I'm meeting DH at the dealership smack dab in the middle of nap time to get the van fixed.  He gets to stay.  Something doesn't seem right about that.

Tonight we have a wedding.  Tomorrow soccer.  Sunday P-A-R-T-Y!  I spent yesterday afternoon making ninja turtle cups.  They are cute, but I just kept thinking "I used to be such a productive member of society."

    I'm going to a farewell to company gathering this afternoon for a little bit.

    We've got baseball all weekend and DD1 has a soccer game tomorrow.

    DD1 has been very into homecoming this week.  She wore the school colors yesterday and insisted that we go to the parade last night.  This morning she's almost devastated to learn that we aren't going to the game tonight.

    We're taking the kids to the IL's so SIL can watch them tomorrow.  DH and I have to work. 

    Sunday, family bdays at my parent's house for my sister, dad, and BIL. 

    After this weekend, we're in pack, pack, pack mode.

    Tomorrow is going to be nuts:  DD has a game, my mom is coming to watch her play, we're all going back to the house for lunch, then DD has swim class, and then she has Frozen birthday party #173 (or maybe it just feels like that many).  I see takeout in our future for Saturday night, and a lazy day Sunday to recover.

    tomorrow I'm hoping to relax a little. Maybe do some crafting. one of my co-workers has an etsy store and has been encouraging me to really get my butt in gear. Also I got a new wood burner this week - a REALLY good one!

    Sunday we have to head out to my ILs' area for a party. a good friend of ours passed away in July after a long cancer battle. This party was originally a celebration FOR him and WITH him. His stem cell donor was coming to meet him. When he passed away, the family reached out to the donor and he still wanted to come and meet people who knew his recipient. It's going to be a very emotional day.

    6, raising children to be normal, functioning, intelligent, happy adults?  Definitely part of a productive society.

    DH has a community thing most of this weekend, so I'm staying inside and reading.  I have a pile of books that I want to read and dammit, I'm going to read!  Other than that, just normal laundry and house cleaning.

    PS He was just doing his part to participate in "International Talk Like a Pirate Day".  I bet he'll start singing about shantys or something now.

    Tonight is the first performance of the symphony for this season, so I'm going to that at 8.

    Tomorrow, we're having a contractor come out to start the bidding process for our renovations. The first contractor got three new builds the week after he talked to us, so he had to decline the job. After we meet with the contractor, I get to drive out to the suburbs to the Jewish community center for a volunteer orientation for people who are coaching the swim team for special needs kids. After the orientation, it's into the water. Thankfully, it's a little warmer this weekend than it has been, but I know I'm still gonna freeze to death. I also don't have any goggles or a good racing suit, so I'll just be standing awkwardly in my Gabi Fresh Galaxy fatkini and hoping I don't get too much shit in my eyes.

    Sunday is a whole bunch of nothing.

    Tonight, DD and I are spending the night away. DH wants some one on one time with DS and I still have hotel points to burn. I think today I may go get the new iPhone. My phone is on its last legs and I'm starting to have problems with it freezing up. I also need to take some photos for a bunch of things I want to sell. Sunday we are going to my parent's house.
