So I've been on a major mission about what I'm wearing under my dress, because 1) we're waiting until the wedding for any hanky-panky and 2) ain't no way FI's going to let me sneak into the bathroom and change into something on my own.  What's under my dress needs to be pretty - not that HE cares, because I could wear my rattiest laundry day stuff and he'd be thrilled, but because *I* want it to be pretty.

I dropped the ball on ordering online in time and had to just go shop-to-shop to find something... not that there's a lot of options in my area.  WITHOUT FAIL, every time I went into a store and said "I'm looking for a long-line bra or bustier or corset or SOMETHING, as well as a garter belt and stockings to wear under my wedding dress", they handed me a nude-coloured strapless bra and matching conventional underwear.  Not that they were granny panties or anything, the sets were pretty, but they were everyday pretty, y'know?

So yesterday I went into the adult store in the closest city that I've been to a couple of times and WOO HOO!  Ivory and lace corset that makes me look like a pinup, with matching thong and garter straps for lacy thigh-highs.  I was SO happy I almost hugged the girl.  I texted a picture of the store's sign to FI and told him I bought him something... yeah, he's a little mad at me now, but whatever :)

Are you guys going functional or all-out under your dresses?

    Yay! That'll be great to feel so sexy on your wedding day!

    I did a quick change after we got back to the honeymoon suite after the wedding reception. I wore a strapless bra and giant spanx (the ones that are like bike shorts) underneath my wedding dress. Afterwards, DH unzipped my dress and I scurried into the bathroom to change into some fancy white lingerie I was gifted at my bachelorette party. It was the best of both worlds, because I wanted support during the day, and SPICE at night!

    I am planning on getting a nude lacy bra and some cute undies. So it's a little fancy, but not over the top, and still practical. I'll save the really exciting stuff for the honeymoon, haha.

    Yay! Finding things that make you feel hot is the best feeling ever!

     

    I found a really pretty lace corset type longline bra. I will be wearing that and then I have some cute lace undies to wear with it, so that will be my day and night stuff.

    I took my MOH when I went looking for a good bra for underneath my dress. I was looking for something simple that would give me a bit of lift. We ended up finding this perfect bridal bustier... not what I was looking for and way out of my price range, but both gorgeous AND functional.. She went back that day and bought it for me (with matching bottoms) as my wedding gift. :-)

    I've had cups sewn into my dress, and I'll probably wear something that I'm either gifted at my bachelorette party or I'll just find some white lacy thong. I doubt I'll change into anything that evening, we'll be too excited! lol

    My dress had a low back so no spanx would work. I had cups sewn in also so no need for a bra. I wore an old pair of underwear that I knew wouldn't give me that thong lovehandle bulge thingy. When we got back to the room, I took the underwear off real quick because they were sweaty. H wanted to get at me while still in my dress so it worked out.

    Click here, just because it's so dang pretty! (In ivory, not navy).

    I'm pretty curvy, so I needed something other than a standard strapless, because they'll fall and sag and pull my dress down with them, and no one wants to see that (besides FI).  I think bare backs are so much more sexy than bare fronts... plus I'm a little uncomfortable with my own cleavage (because I have a lot of it).

    Awesome! I hope your FI is dying of anticipation to see what you got him ;)

    I only wore a white lace thong that said "Mrs" on it in blue. My dress had cups sewn into it. DH LOVED undoing my corset and getting to rub his hands down my back (and boobs) without anything in the way. He said he liked how it looked, without having to undo a bra or something with the evil hook and eyes. And the panties were sexy but no nonsense. Because there was no waiting. 

    I tried to find a sexy corset to wear underneath, but was frustrated at not finding something good enough. So I went with what I mentioned, and I felt positive about it and it was a night to remember!

    Plus, I did not feel sweaty or sticky inside all that extra material.

    I'm getting cups put in my dress, so I'm gonna get some really cute panties, probably lace because that's what FI digs. He got me a lacy blue one that I wanted to wear but they're kind of loose and I'm planning on losing weight so I don't want them to fall off walking down the aisle!

    I'm not going to wear a bra because my boobs look too big already without a bra pushing them up more.


    My skirt is pretty tulle-y and a-line and so I can wear pretty much anything under it, but I'm getting married in Vegas and will be walking outside a bunch, so I'll probably get something boy-short-like that covers my butt in case anything flies up in a breeze or anything.

    H and I danced so much at our wedding we were both sweaty stinky messes by the time we got back to the hotel room.....so my cute undies that i had on went pretty much unseen. We cleaned ourselves up and I put on this lacy bridal robe I got for my bachelorette and that's what I ended up in....for a bit ;)

    Beware ladies....wedding dresses are WARM you will sweat A LOT.

    We are also waiting. I bought a white lace corset from H&M to put on underneath my leaving dress (changing to a short dress for grand exit). fI requested lace panties, garter, and stockings, so I'm planning to put those on right when we get to the hotel. Can't wait to wow him!

    My dress is a corset on its own so everything is going to be sucked in pretty well by the dress itself.  I'm planning on a basic nude strapless bra and a lace thong.  

    If I get gifted some awesome lingerie at my shower, I might change into it for Fi that night.  I'm undecided.

    I don't have my dress yet, but I have large "assets" so I have to wear a very supportive bra and all that. I will probably change into something else, but honestly FI probably won't give me the chance to change.

    He says he never knows the point of lingerie because he is going to take it off immediatly anyway. lol!

    Lingerie helps us ladies feel good about ourselves, so it's still nice to wear!

    I'd love to get something fun and sexy for under the dress, but as my great-grandma says the good lord saw fit to bless me, so I'm gonna need some kind of good hold ya up bra. 

    FI loves me in "booty shorts", like those little boy short styled undies that let a little of your rear peek out, so if they work under the dress I might wear some of those.

    Functional.  I changed in to a cute pair of lacy underwear at the hotel and put on a bathrobe (we'd decided to get into the hot tub straight away.)

    I wore very functional nude no-wedgie underwear, no bra needed since the dress came with cups built in. When we got back to the house (to quickly pick up our luggage and drop off my dress before driving 2 hours to the hotel near the airport), FI helped my unzip. He went to grab something real quick and I put on his suit jacket (so just the suit jacket, undies, and the garter). Surprise wedding night nookie, and it cost me pretty much nothing.

    I needed no support on top and had a ballgown so I could wear whatever I wanted. I wore a white lacy strapless bra, white lacy thong, garter belt and thigh high stockings (plus red high heels and the veil).

    @larrygaga and @princessofgenovia - I think that was the issue I was running into with the other shops I went into.  My cups runneth over, as it were, so once you get up high in the alphabet, they were scrambling for anything other than just 'keep them in, good Lord, keep them in!!' in basic nude.

    Smitten tends to cater towards the 'I'm busty and that's a good thing' crowd moreso than other places - for fun stuff, at least.

    I ended up having to wear a corset that didn't actually fit. It was kind of a bummer.
