Personal opinion but I don't like hair styles to one side because any photos from other side of you look awkward. And theres no way to ensure all photos are from one side.

I was worried about this originally as well (also ended up with a side styled do) but honestly, it wasn't an issue in least. Some of my favorite pictures from our wedding were from the "other side" and they weren't awkward at all. If it's a good hair style, then it should photograph well regardless of angle.

I prefer the to the side one. ETA my sister had her hair like that in her recent wedding and it looked beautiful. The half-up one just looks non-weddingy to me, like a lot of women do that just for work or a date night or something.

Both look lovely. I'm a little partial to the side do myself, but that's simply because that's how I like to have my hair done. I like the fact that it makes the photos different.

I like half-up better. I do like side as well, but I feel like side is very "now" and half-up is more classic. Am I crazy?
