Hair & Makeup Trial...Opinions Please

Yesterday was my Bachelorette Party and I had my hair/makeup trial earlier in the day. I really liked it and got a lot of compliments, but looking back at pictures, I'm just not sure. I feel like I don't even look like myself - almost a little shocking to see the pictures. I just recently dyed my hair DARK and maybe that's the problem? I'm just not sure. Opinions please! :)

1st Picture - August 9, 2014 When I did my own hair & makeup for a friends wedding. (Close to what I usually look like.)
2nd, 3rd & 4th Picture's - Before the Bachelorette Party, with my hair & makeup done from my trial.

    I think it's seeing yourself with dark hair that may be putting you off. You look yourself in both photos from Aug and yesterday and you look lovely, might I add :). May I ask what made you decide to dye your hair dark?

    I think the two most drastic changes that could be throwing you off as far as it making you question it are a) the darker color and b) the height in the second look. I don't think either are bad at all and I think you look gorgeous, but those would be the things that make you think you don't look like "yourself".

    I am with you. I wear absolutely no makeup at all. Although I told both my photographer and he makeup artist that I want to look back on my pictures and see "me" they both insisted I needed some makeup. Light, but some makeup so I don't look washed put in pictures. I had my makeup trial today. I thought I looked like I should be laid out in a casket! I don't think it looked like me at all. FI was so supportive. Said I looked even more beautiful. I'm just not used to seeing myself with makeup. I'm just going to suck it up for the day. Ugh!

    Thank you @lowell14 & @pepperally! It must be the darker color that's thrown me for a loop. I've had dark hair before, but maybe it would help if I have some lighter brown added to front to lighten it up around my face? I thought I had adjusted to the dark hair (it's been a couple weeks), but I guess not. Thanks for the compliments :)

    See what your hairstylist says about highlights. Withy your Aug pic, you have some dimension in your lighter hair. Maybe also take a picture of yourself without your wedding hair and makeup because the pics from yesterday are an 'enhanced' you.

    I had my tril for hair and makeup and for me, the makeup took some adjustment from my own version of 'formal' makeup
