Transportion for guests staying at hotel

Hello,

So I am having my wedding at an Inn where most guests are staying. I did block a bunch of rooms at the near by hotel for those who wanted a more affordable option. My wedding is 9/13 and so far only 2 rooms at the other hotel have been booked. I was planning on providing transportation for the guests at the other hotel since I was expecting more people to stay over there. Renting a shuttle bus for only ~4 guests seems like it would be a lot of money... Anyone have any other suggestions for transportation?

Re: Transportion for guests staying at hotel

  • Do you know someone (not invited to the wedding) that has a big SUV or who could rent one (on your dime of course)? For that few people a large SUV is probably a more economical shuttle option; however I know many people are last minute types. When's the cut off for reserving under your block? I'd probably check to see what the status is right after labor day and make a decision based on the number you're expecting then.
  • Good point.. I think many people do wait till kind of the last minute to book a room.
  • If you do end up with only four people there I would just pay for a cab for them.
  • Yeah, I was thinking of that...
  • What about just getting a car service pre-arranged instead of a shuttle bus? Or how about Uber?
  • Local motion of braintree has a wide range of vehicles - I'd get one from them. ohmigosh - I sound like I work for them.  But they've been awesome to work with and very helpful for us.  We had to change our reservation, and they had exactly what we needed and were super cool with everything.  Truly a great company to work with.
