Wedding Woes

morning

All I can think about is tomorrow.  DH and I are off work.  IDK if we're going to keep DefConn home with us or not.

I'm mad it's going to get back up in the 80's.  Our current house's circulation sucks, so we have a pretty low threshold for turning on the air.  I don't wanna turn it back on.

I sent DefConn to the sitter's in shorts even though it was 46 this morning.  He wanted to wear them, I didn't want to fight, and it's going to be in the mid-70's later.  He did wear a jacket.

Re: morning

  • Agreed on turning on the air.  It would be wonderful not to turn it on again this year.  I also don't want to turn the heat on right away either.  If we could have a month of nice, fall weather, I'd be happy.

I got a work email overnight from new company with a link to a questionnaire for a background check.  So I guess they really haven't looked at any of the part-time people.

I decided I'm going to push myself a little harder in the gym starting yesterday and I can already feel it.
  • I thought it was going to be raining Sunday for the party so I turned the air on.  It's stayed on since.

8 loads of laundry folded and put away this morning.  I need to return a bunch of crap to Target.

I just realized that DH is going to be gone all next week.  It's going suck.

It was in the upper 50's/low 60's, and I sent DS in shorts, too.  Like you, we're supposed to see 70's later, plus he runs hot--he breaks a sweat if you even look at him too long.

This morning was such a cluster--I hate when I'm actually happy to be at work, because it means that everything at home went off the rails.  I overslept--alarm was going off and I just didn't wake up, which never happens.  But DS was on strike against the hypoallergenic formula at DC yesterday, so he drank 8 oz. as soon as we got home, 8 oz. before bed, and 8 oz. at 3:30 a.m.  So the good news is, including breakfast this a.m., he should be caught up now.  But I'm SO not used to getting up with him at night, and he was up for over an hour and a half.  DD had a full-on retro tantrum over her hair, of all things, and I had to physically carry her down the stairs because she was going to miss the bus.  Now I'm in my office and it's quiet, no one is crying, no one is whining, and I kind of want to stay here.  Forever.

Not that everyone is hanging on my kid's diet, but on the bright side, dairy-free is still going really well with DS.  Which is sort of a disappointment, because now it's a Thing, but mostly I'm relieved.

I booked Columbus Day weekend in the mountains and mentally I'm there right now, in my happy place.  ::breathes mountain air, sighs::
  • Andddd,  I'm at the job trailer.  It's dirty, and loud---but I'm happy here.

It's nice and cool here and fall has set in, we have left the windows open and it hasn't gotten to 70 degrees so that is great.  I love having the fresh air.

  • Good morning. I really don't understand why I'm tired because I went to bed at 9:30. I'm mad because I fell asleep during Blacklist and missed the last 30 minutes. I'll have to watch it online today.

  • I went to sleep around 8:15 pm and I still didn't want to get up at 6 am.  I made myself and I did my run, which I'm glad about.  But really, if this sleepiness stuff doesn't stop, I'm going to have to go back to the doc.  The only thing I can think of right now is that I'm having to take 2 Zyrtec to keep allergies at bay and I've only done that yesterday and today.  But I've done that before for short periods with no issues.
  • Morning. I was up at 5:30 am to workout. Did that then scrambled to get DD ready before my 6:30 am teleconference. Kids and husband were out the door by 7 am which means a glorious hour alone before I have to be back at work. Right now I've got a load of laundry in progress, working on meals, and a couple of other random things. At like 3 pm today I'll probably be dying and ready for bed. I wish it was fall. We are supposed to get rain here later this week, and they are saying it's going to keep the temperatures lower (low 90's). Sometimes I do miss living in the Midwest.
