Wedding rings and honeymoon

My FI does not want me to wear my rings on our honeymoon to Jamaica! He is scared that they will get lost in the ocean while swimming but the water in Jamaica is not rough at all. I really want to show off my rings to show that we are married! Is anyone wearing their rings on their honeymoon?

    Yep, I'll be bringing mine! And we are going tropical like you, only in St. Lucia. We plan on doing swimming and water sports as well, but I will probably leave my rings off and safely locked in the resort room while we are doing the more active activities. Otherwise, I'll be wearing them proudly when we are out and about, sitting in the sun, and going out to eat!

    One of my uncles has lost 3 wedding bands to the oceans! Twice in Hawaii, once in Cancun. So it is possible, even in calm water for your fingers to shrink and let it slip off. Think about if you guys are holding hands, or if one of you trips and reaches out for the other, that's usually how they come off. I would say bring them on the trip, lock them in your room safe when going to the beach

    I had a nightmare about losing my diamond in the ocean! But I will still be wearing mine. :)

    Not going to the ocean/water park - but I will be wearing mine on my honeymoon.  Just make sure your rings are insured.

    We'll both be wearing our rings (my wedding ring and e-ring included). We're travelling to Germany for our HM but I'd wear them even if we were going somewhere tropical. With that said...I guess I tend to NOT wear my ring when I go to the lake because I'd hate for it to slip off on accident in the water so you're kind of in a tough situation. Does your room have a safe? Maybe you can leave the rings in there if you know you're going to be in the water that day.

    We are going to Gatlinburg, TN and renting  a cabin in the mountains. I will be wearing my rings, but will probably keep them in the cabin whenever we explore the woods or go swimming. We have a hot tub, sauna, and huge sweetheart bathtub in our cabin, so I don't expect to be leaving much ;)

    We are going to Vegas, so I will only have a pool, but my stone is an aquamarine and normally all my jewelry comes off when I go swimming anywhere.

    We got some cheap bands for free by listening to a presentation by bridal registries. We are going to Europe and he will wear his real band and I'll wear the free backup. We don't want to draw attention with my ring and you have to be very careful with hotel safes in some countries.

    Maybe this is a dumb idea, but could you try wrapping some thread or something around the underside of your rings so they sit tighter on your finger? That way the might be less slippery and have less chance of falling off in the water.
