Hello all!

So as we get closer and closer to our wedding, I am starting to figure out all of the details that I have been putting off... :)

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with The Flamingo and welcome bags and if they could describe the process. Is there a charge per bag? Do people have to be a part of our wedding block for them to deliver, or can we give them a list of names people booked under? I really want people to have welcome bags, but with everyone arriving at different times it's logistically impossible to deliver them ourselves. As far as I know, 100% of our guests are staying at the Flamingo, so that is one less thing to worry about!

Thanks in advance!

  • We did welcome bags, at flamingo it was super easy. We just left them at check in. No charge unless you want them delivered to their room it's $3 per bag. Your guests can pick up their bags, at check in with no fee though :)

  • Thanks @valeriecruz82! Were all of your guests under a room block or did you just have a list of names?

  • Thanks for the information.  We are staying at the flamingo as well and I was wondering how I was going to get my welcome bags to everyone.  I think the impact is greater if they're in the room when they arrive.  That way they walk into a surprise.

Is it possible to have them in the rooms upon their arrival or just after they've been checked into a room?  I know when I've gone on business conferences we've had them in the room prior to getting their but that was for 1000+ people.  Not sure they would do it for my small group 9 people (5 rooms)
  • @tasa4508 I believe you can.

  • @valeriecruz82 - Im assuming everyone go them? They weren't forgotten by staff? Or did you tell your guests to ask for them?

We get there on the same day as our guests (Saturday), and wont have our welcome bags ready until the day after we arrive as we need to buy most of the stuff when we arrive. We have a welcome tour that most guests are attending on the sunday night, so I plan on giving them out after the bus tour. The ones that arrive later I will take to their hotels... but I think there is only 2 other hotels, so that's easy!

I stressed massively about this too!

I think that would be very difficult to do. I believe rooms are not assigned (except for suites) until check in. You could always call them and ask though!
