Inviting Make-Up Artist and Hairdresser to Reception?

Hi Ladies, Quick question, I will probably ask some of my acquaintances (old co-workers) to do my hair and make-up for my wedding. My questions is, am I obligated to invite them to the wedding reception? We all know how pricey receptions can be plus I will also be paying them for their service. Should I or should I not invite them? Would it be awkward if they are not invited? Thank you!

    If you keep it to a strict business transaction, you don't need to invite them to the reception.  As an acquaintance, they shouldn't be expecting an invitation anyway, as typically only closer friends would be invited to a wedding.
