Appropriate shoes to wear at a Catholic Church as a wedding guest

Hi, We are going to FI best friend's wedding next weekend. The ceremony is around 2 at a Catholic Church, and the reception goes on from there. So, I'm thinking black open toed heels. Is this appropriate in a church setting or should I do something more conservative? I've actually never been to a Catholic ceremony in a church before, so I'm pretty excited to attend. Thanks!!

Classic styles are fine in almost all churches. As long as they aren't stripper style you're good!

Thanks ladies!! No, not stripper heels in the least, I can barely walk in anything higher than a kitten heel. : ).

I'm not an expert on church stuffs, but I wouldn't side-eye any shoes other than stripper shoes or something ridiculous for the outfit and occasion (ie. workboots) or some thing like these:
