Fall Colorado style

SNOW!!!!

image

For someone who lived in the islands for as long as I have, I'm liking the cooler weather.

Have a great hump day!

  • Girl, it will be gone tomorrow! Fall is bipolar in Colorado! Glad you are enjoying it, though! How long have you been here, again?

  • Not even a wee bit jealous. I've lived here in Alabama too long, I don't like the snow.

I DO really wish our highs would hurry up and drop under 80. I think that starts this weekend. I'm so excited.

  • You've got snow in the hills and we've got a fan-freaking-tastic sunrise down in Denver. Lord, how I love fall!

  • I hate the snow, but that really is a beautiful picture! Both pics of Colorado are amazing.

That snow is here to stay for a while.  The peak is over 12K high.   Actually there was one section of the peak that the snow never melted.

The snow on the lower elevations will not last long.

Got here at the end of Feb.  I turned on my heat yesterday a pulled out the jacket.   I only ran the heat for an hour is so to take the chill out of the air. I can honestly say that was the earliest I've ever turned heat on.

  • Fall is one of the many reasons I love living in Colorado! SO and I drove up into the mountains last weekend - all the aspens trees are changing and it's gorgeous! I also am loving the cooler weather! This summer has been way too hot for me!

  • I went to NOLA a week ago. I was gone 5 whole days.  I got back and a lot of trees had changed.   One side of the mountain was yellow.   I was only gone FIVE DAYS.  It was crazy how fast it changed.

This weekend is suppose to be in the high 60's and sunny.  That should be nice. In the meantime we have a freeze warning for today/tonight.

  • The fall colors in the Great Lakes region can be seen from space!

We turned on our heat yesterday, too. We usually do around this time of year. I hope you are enjoying Colorado so far! I love it, but then again, I am very biased. ;)

  • I'm convinced I belong in the mountains. I'm jealous, I'm just stuck in flat ol' Kansas. Fall is always nice here too though, the leaves are always pretty :)

  • I am so sad.  You guys are parading around in fall coats, scarves, and boots, and I'm stuck here in 95 degree weather.  Ugh.

  • I was thinking of you!  This is why we live in Grand Junction!  If we want snow, we just drive an hour. to the Grand Mesa.
