Rose Gold/Sequin Bridesmaids dresses

Hi! My wedding is on the Fourth of July next year, and while I'm not sure if I want to do a red, white, and blue theme, I really like the color pink and have been liking a lot of blush dresses, flowers, decor, etc. However, I was thinking about how to do something a little different with bridesmaids dresses. With it being the fourth of July, I was thinking of trying to find metallic/sparkly dresses for the girls. I've seen some pictures of really pretty rose gold sequin dresses, but A) I'm not sure where I can even find them and

I assume anything embellished or sequin may have a high price. What does anyone think of this idea? I like the sparkly idea to kind of give the idea of "fireworks" because of the fourth of July. I could probably come up with some creative centerpieces too, but I'd also be unsure of what the guys would wear. So mainly, does anyone like the idea of the rose gold bridesmaids, or can anyone give suggestions on where to find dresses in this color? Thanks!

First thing you need to do is a have your BM's give you their dress budget. Yes, sequin dresses can be pricey, especially if you don't want to look like this years homecoming queen. What is your venue? If you have girls in sequins, I'd say the guys should at least be in suits.

I checked Nordstrom, they have some pretty dresses, but the ones for under 200 are only availablein limited sizes.

If your girls are pretty average sizes, I'd suggest Rent the Runway for sequins since they're generally so expensive. But your girls would have to be sure to reserve their sizes well in advance so they're not already booked. The dresses will not be able to be altered.

First things first - you need to ask each of them *privately* for their budgets. Then shop under the lowest budget keeping in mind alteration and shipping costs.

That should help you figure out what's an option. I would also ask them about wearing sequin dresses. I have super sensitive skin and a lot of sequin/beaded dresses really bug me and make my skin red/irritated. I understand the look you're going for but keep their comfort in mind too.

I'm actually sort of doing this. My wedding is in December though and I'm doing a sparkly Christmas feel. I didn't want my BM's to match though so they decided on 3 different dresses themselves.

I've seen this done before and it sounded awful but looked fabulous.

Instead of shooting for rose gold, I'd run with just sparkly/sequined and have them mismatch their dresses with silver, gold, rose gold, etc.

This was totally my original vision. I gave them this list to inspire them, and unbeknowst to each other, they all picked the same one. Go figure. But there is only 3 of them and I think they will all look amazing, so it works!

Just make sure this is something you'll love 10 years from now when you look at the photos. The older I get, the less I like sequins and glitter. You'll want to edit accessories and other places where there might be glitter overload, too, so that it's all tasteful and not glitter explosion.

I think you need to start with budget AND comfort. I would hate those dresses...my skin is easily irritated and I'm on the bigger size. If they are in budget and within the comfort range of each girl (after asking privately!) then go for it!
